It is a difficult time our neighbors to the north face. It has been said by a few radicals that cooperation with them will only bring disgrace to Mexico but I say that as we both share the ideals of liberty, democracy and happiness for the people of our nations, I find that false and reactionary. The Americans, and I refer to the continent as a whole, are a tough breed. We, born from revolution and independence from other nations; we, people that have found ourselves oppressed by many yet through history can be seen cooperating and pulling through it all. It is we, Americans, North, Central and South, that need to stand together the most, taking into consideration our heritage. Be it the indegenous people that bravely fought, be it immigrants that rebelled from a king, be it just people that wished for a better life; no matter your ethnicity or the borders you find yourself inside of, you are an American if you seek refuge in the wings of this great continent. And as such, we stand together with the United States government, its people, of which many are descendants from our lands. We will cooperate as much as it is required, be it relief for the victims, be it investigative measures. We do not know what the meaning of this attack that has occured just a few hours ago holds. We do not know what savage man could have taken so many lives; in such a dishonourable way. The deaths of the civilians inside both towers and their surroundings, inside the Pentagon and inside the Capitol will not be forgotten. We wish for a steadfast recovery for the US and we reiterate our support, if needed. Right now, brave men fight the fires and seek to rescure whatever they can from collapsed structures, many of those brave firemen and police offivers have their roots from this prosperous land we stand on. Today, the world holds no difference between nationalities, Mexicans and Americans are brothers who grieve at the sight of destruction, unjustified and senseless destruction. Today, there is no border separating Mexican and American, there's only man. Let us act like men and stand together, for this day will be remembered not only as a tragedy, which it is, but also a day where mankind stood together to help a fallen companion. May God accompany and protect America. May the victims and their relatives find solace in His virtue. And may He grant us the strength to pull through this storm. Thank you.[/i]
