Again. Witcher. They completed the Trials of Grasses BEFORE they were allowed to Witcher. Your speculation makes little sense when I Mr. King Mighty Kinglyness wants the best to stop the horrible monsters. I am not going to hire some whelp whose still going through his trials to get rid of those monsters. I want someone experienced. Someone worth my money. Worth my investment. If I am going to invest in the Shady, but Honorable Cause Swordseekers, I want people who;

1) Have a History I can follow, I want to know if they are people I can trust or not, and what kind of leverage I can use on them

2) Be worth my investment, sorry, but I am not going to hire the Sphinx level guy. I am going to hire the Chimera and beyond. We don't even have to start off as Expert Chimeras. But we just passed the Chimera level trial. But I the King will not hire the guy whose like "yeah I am still on trial, hahaa, but give me a shot" That doesn't even happen in the modern workforce, if you have no experience or start off with low experience you're not getting the job.

3) In DnD and Pathfinders are often ones with experience. The GMs will always introduce the characters as "your so and so" name X other stuff you have done in the past. 

And even with all that speculation, which is all well and fine. I still need to know how Battlemages, Spellswords, and things like that even work in a low magic setting.
