[indent]Welcome to the world of Pathos! A world driven by a strong divide of two large countries in the far cold North and the warm sunny South. For 2000 years this world has been without war, conflict, disease, or significant conflict internally and externally. Most of the citizens of this world live a life of peace, comfort and little conflict. There are no monsters or pirates or any sort of mad dictators that have caused chaos among the years; the entirety of Pathos’ recorded history is bliss, pleasure and happiness. As such, due to such a severe lack of resistance, the people strived to innovate and improve their lives to thrust their world into far advancement. [/indent] [h1]The World of Pathos[/h1] [indent]To the North there is the grand Kingdom Ghosnenite which is a magically radical Kingdom in which magic thrives. Magic is rich and lush in this land and only those born within Ghosenite are gifted with magical abilities. The city spurns technology, thinking science destroys the life and purity of nature, and prefer to pursue magical means to get things they need or want. Various forms of magical radiation exist within Ghosnenite that have created many different breeds of magical animals, creatures, beasts and, sometimes, monsters. Most magical animals are small, dainty, timid and quite a few are dangerously powerful but they mostly hide from all creatures that are not their own. It has 5 Grandcities and 1 Capital. This Kingdom has a class structure in which individuals can be given rank, title or authority by nobles and those who are not nobles are generally to honor them respectfully. Nobles come in many shapes, sizes and personas, but generally they are very wealthy and very gracious and generally the higher the rank of nobility to more gifted they are with powerful magic. [color=magenta][b]Religion[/b][/color] - The North has 7 Divines. These are 7, very real, gods that rule over all the Northern Lands. There is the God of Light and Divination Astros, the God of Fire and Metal, Kasmal, the God of the Sea, Euphradies, the God of the Eastern Winds, Flur, the Metal Dragon Zirconos, the Jade Whisperer, the God of Prosperity and Prosperity Earthwood, and the God of Life and Death Kosmosis. Astros, Kosmosis and Earthwood represent the primary deieties and govern all magic within all of Ghosnenite. Primarily, they do not intercede in mortal affairs but they have been known to demonstrate their ire upon heathens.[/indent] [hider=Kingdom of Ghosnenite] [b][color=Darkturquoise]Ghosnenite[/color][/b] - Capital of Ghosnenite, center for the [u]Arcane Mastery School of Magic (AMSM)[/u], [u]Hall of Echos Historium[/u] and the [u]Citrine Castle[/u] where a majority of the noble live. Ghosnenite houses 1.37 million people and is the most densely populated city in the entire world. It has 7 quarters that range from Art/Humanitarian, History, Law, Magic, Shopping, Agriculture and Noble and generally people mostly live in and around the Shopping, Art/Humanitarian and Agriculture quarters. The city is, at appearance, very romantic renaissance with knights and nobles and art and food all over the place. It is a city that seems to have a festival or celebration every week and they are always grand and joyous. Those that live in Ghosnenite live happy lives, though the city is governed by the Nobles and the King strictly. The [u]Ionite Tundra[/u] is to the far North and is said to be the coldest place on Earth. The Tundra is forbidden and restricted for all but those allowed by the King to enter. Those born and raised here are traditionally gifted with a wide array of different magics, typically being able to learn more than one school of magic, however never as adept as those born in other cities. [b][color=slateblue]Peridot[/color][/b] - Second largest city within Ghosenite with about 260 thousand people. Peridot is a city to the far West off a shore. The city itself does include a few satellite islands and celebrates an island culture. The [u]Ruby Reef[/u] resides here which is a magical, enormous coral reef that is said to allow some the ability to see into the future. There is a strong magic that radiates here that seethes from the ocean waters of the [u]Western Obsidian Ocean[/u]. Those born here are fairly adept, more-so than most others, in water and ice magic and some even have the ability to transform their bodies into fish or fishmen and dive to the furthest depths of the ocean. [b][color=green]Spinel[/color][/b] - City to the Southwest enshrouded in forest. It has a population of 56 thousand and a majority of the population live in the trees or underground. It is known as the City of Giants as is homes to humans who are taller than normal, 7-9 feet tall. These humans are generally gifted great strength, stamina and are blessed with a forest magic that fills the air and enables them to control the forests and plants around them almost instinctively. There are the [u]Serpentine Ruins[/u], [u]Jasper Desert[/u], [u]Jade Towers[/u], [u]Spinel School of Magic and Agriculture (SSMA)[/u], and the [u]Serpentine Maze[/u]. The ruins, Jade Towers, and Serpentine Maze are all special, enormous archaeological structures that are forbidden to enter and heavily guarded at all times by the King and only those with special, very specific permission can enter them. There are many roars and sounds that come from both the Ruins and the Maze from time to time that keep any adventurers well away. The school of magic, however, is a very active spot and the main place of tourism. It is a rival school of advance magical studies of Ghosnenite’s school. [b][Color=red]Zircon[/color][/b] - City of Dragons formally, however the last of the dragons died out 800 years ago from disease. However, Zircon as a whole is highly decorated in dragon insignias and has the [u]Zircon Dragon School of Magic (ZDSM)[/u] which teaches some of the more strange, unusual, misunderstood or dangerous schools of magic. The city is very hot and most of the residents wield and manipulate the element of fire very prolifically. The entire recorded history of dragons is here, within Zircon, at their school and they are a city that is said to have some of the more brazen, headstrong, and aggressive lifestyle. Their city has a population of 74 thousand and is very small and together. There are a series of caves and tunnels known as the [b]Onyx Catacombs[/b] that are forbidden to enter for fear of monsters. The end of Zircon begins the start of the neighboring country and the start of the [u]Quartz Desert[/u] which is the longest, hottest, most barren and dangerous stretch of superheated land. The desert is considered lethal under any and all circumstances gaining a high of 280 degrees and an impossible low of -60 degrees that stretches near endlessly for over 800 miles making it the most dangerous place in all of Ghosnenite. [b][color=goldenrod]Lapis Lazuli[/color][/b] - Lapis is the known as the windy city. It is North from the [u]Quartz Desert[/u] and backed by the [u]Larimar Mountains[/u], or Blue Mountains, which is a 450 mile long mountain range of mountains made of a super hard crystal. Lapis Lazuli is a very noble town, like Ghosnenite and has a high cost of living. It houses many of the oldest and most prestigious of noble houses and is said to be a city of wealth and is even called the Holy City by some. The city is a religious center for more than a few of Ghosnenite’s religions and it is a common dream and aspiration to live in such a high standing city by a majority of all of the country. The [u]Temple of Dreams[/u] and the [u]Wake of Tourmaline[/u] both reside in Lapis Lazuli and are both sacred formations by Ghosnenite. Those gifted with air, wind and atmospheric magic are here in Lapis Lazuli and it is the forefront of astrology and astronomy at the magical institute the [u]School of the Skies (SKS)[/u]. Has a population of 66 thousand. [b][color=salmon]Spodueme[/color][/b] - City south of Ghosnenite and another city full of nobility. It is known as a the city of light and darkness. This grandcity has the smallest population, of around 45 thousand, and most are scholars and those that dedicate their lives to uncovering the laws of the land and the history of magic, divines, and the world. This city have mages that are born and gifted with very non-traditional magic that does not match the more elemental inclined cities such as the manipulation, alteration, or transition of the world and reality around them as well as the very mysterious and ambiguous magic of Light and Darkness, the most misunderstood schools of magic in all of Ghosenenite as some born here have been able to manipulate time, the minds of others and even causality. Spodueme is known as the [i]Accident City[/i] having 27x the number of accidental deaths than all the other cities combined and it is a city known to have an accidental chaotic turmoil in which the Capital city to the North has had to intervene. Every genius that has ever lived has been born from Spoudueme, as such it has a somewhat reputation as the city of scholars...And death. The [u]Idocrase Forest[/u] lies to East and [u]Orthocrase Forest[/u] to the far Southeast and both are under the control and dominion of Spoudueme. The forests are said to be densely populated with a diverse array of magical creatures and, as such, are widely protected...The two forests also lead to a lot of [i]accidents[/i] for Spoudeme. [/hider] To the South are the 13 States of the great country Alexandria with its capital state being Alexandria itself. Alexandria is a sharp contrast to the Northern country as it is a country completely and absolutely devoid of magic. Those born in this land, regardless of their bloodline, history or genetics are born without magic and it has always been this way since the earliest recorded history of both countries. For a long time Alexandria was looked at as an inferior and savage land to live in by those in the North, however through sheer stubbornness and pride the country expanded and grew with the one strength that it had to focus on and that was science! The greatest strength of Alexandria was that those born within completely lacked the ability to flip a finger and make some convenience phenomena happen to make their lives easy. They had to work hard for everything and, as such, the explored realms that Ghosenite never thought to ever research. With great complexity, those of Alexandria built machines and engineered science and information to create the same sort of conveniences that the Ghosenite’s projected with their natural born magic and, currently, they hold a wide array of highly complicated technology that range from robotics, space travel, cloning, and raw matter and energy creation. The things Alexandrian’s are able to do are borderline magic itself, however everything, unlike the invisible energy and effort of magic, has a very complicated process built by machines and maintained by order. Alexandria does not command as much physical territory as Ghosnenite, but they also have a fraction of the population however they have the incredible tool known as [i]Robotics[/i] that enables them achieve an infinite number of labor with little to no costs or waste. Alexandria is driven by law, order, mathmatics, reason, investigation and justice and, unlike Ghosneite that has Nobles that decide what is right and wrong, they have a system of checks, balances, and written law which is maintained by the President of Alexandria, his Council of 8, and the Morgana Charter. [color=magenta][b]Religion-[/b][/color] The religion of Alexandria is known as Ashazism in which they worship one, single deity of Light known as Sauvros as the only God. He is the god of all of creation and is responsibility for the make of the entire world. Ashazism believes that all things that exists are by the will or intent of Him. [hider=States of Alexandria] [b][color=sandybrown]Alexandria[/color][/b] - Great, amazing, and glorious capital city Alexandria, as the state emblem states: State animal the Lion, state flower the bright yellow Pinsysikle, state flag 13 stars with a lion in the middle, state colors gold and navy and population 74 million. Alexandria is the city that holds the most advanced technology in the entire world. The [u]Biologics Hospital Treatment Facility[/u] resides here and is, single handedly, the best hospital in the world said to be able to cure any illness or ailment. The [u]Skye Tubes[/u] reside here, and they are a series of tubes that instantly transport one around the city, as well as the [u]Skycar Arena[/u]. Alexandria is a city mostly for business, politics, and National regulation and, as such, it is mostly formal and very structured. There are 7 levels of Alexandira from Level 1, where the president stays, to Level 7 where the homeless or vile live (by choice mostly). Alexandira, unlike all other cities, does have somewhat of a darkside even in this peaceful era and can tend to be very violent. Murder is not commonplace, as it is difficult to get away with, though political corrupt does exist within Alexandria and often the regular folk suffer. The Levels do have another very important part of all of Alexandria as they are a representation of Rank, which is very important in Alexandria on top of actual sections of Alexandria. Alexandria does not have Nobles, like the North, but they do have a Power system in which the Levels represent, basically, who is better than you and whom you must comply with as an Alexandrian. Regardless of occupation, someone in a higher level than you is your boss, period and going against someone of a higher level can get you fired, imprisoned, fined, or...you could go missing on some occasions. [indent] [b]Level 1 - Executive[/b] ~ Only the President and the Council of 8 are allowed to live here and only those 9 individuals hold that rank. [b]Level 2 - Preliminary[/b] ~ Those that come to see, meet with, or discuss policy with those from Level 1 will meet here. Only place anyone ever sees any of them outside of television. For the most part, Level 2 is an area that is mostly for secret meetings. Level 2 is mostly made of the rich, those apart of the founding families, and the leaders/representors of the other 12 states. Level 2 is the closest out of all the 7 ranks that could be compared to nobility and many of those that hold such rank do not physically live in Alexandira but in their respective states. [b]Level 3 - Judiciary and Municipal[/b] ~ Those apart of law, justice, order and the like reside and work here. Level 3 is generally considered the highest any ordinary man or woman tends to get and that takes considerable work, bribery, and skill. Those of Level 3 are police officers of the highest ranks, judges of the highest ranks, CEO for businesses, or leaders of respective organizations of high standing. Level 3s are the figureheads, generally. Some noteable ranks are the Commander of the Militia, Regulator of Law, National Treasurer, Director of Agriculture, etc. [b]Level 4 - Organizational and Dedicators[/b] ~ These are what one would consider at the level of regional managers, district owners, or individuals that run the businesses of those within Level 3. Level 4 is where most people top out in Alexandira after 45-55 years of hard work and service. A Level 4 is “The Big Boss” in any and all businesses under the CEO (which would be a Level 3) and they are generally considered the “Thinkers”. They generally have lavish estates and live very comfortable lifestyles of mansions, vacations, and the “dream life”. For the most part, getting into Level 4 is typically waiting on someone to retire or...Die...So you can move up. [b]Level 5 - Labor, Recreation, Research, Development, Management, Sciences and its Administration[/b] ~ Also known as Admin-6 Level by many. This Level holds thousands of different job structures and has the largest span of growth. Where the previous levels are one simple promotion of difference, Level 5 consists of Intermediate to Advanced to Masterful levels and generally takes 10-45 years of experience within to. Those that are within Level 5 would be considered the “backbone of Alexandria” as they are the ones making sure shit doesn’t stay broke and that the city is ever advancing. The one who would “write you up for misbehavior” would be a level 5. These are the subject matter experts that the Level 4s and Level 3s rely on to actually get work done. Level 5s are generally well respected and, typically, under appreciated and overworked. It is the “middle class” of Alexandria and, for the most part, it is very rare that anyone actually surpasses Level 5. Level 5 is the largest of areas, housing 62% of the population and is the general feel and appearance of Alexandria. [b]Level 6 - General[/b] ~ This would be considered entry level. Once a child is ready to entire the workforce they go to Level 6 to learn a trade, of whatever they want. Whenever a Level 5 wishes to learn a new trade they return to Level 6. Level 6s have no power. At all. They are commonly students, low income workers, low-lifes, drunks, drug addicts, criminals or individuals that have made nothing of their lives/just starting out. Literally, just about everyone is their boss. They are the wide eyed interns and they have the sloppiest quality of living, borderline slums. Level 6 is not an unhappy place, however, and is considered “The Limelight of Youth” in which parties, festivals, and raves happen very often. It is not uncommon a high level will go to Level 6 to enjoy a few days of the life before returning to the day to day. The [u]Blackmarket[/u] is in Level 6 as well as whispers of a [u]Rebellion[/u] against the President and his Staff. [b]Level 7 - Negative[/b] Those that wish to do nothing with their lives. Level 7 is a wasteland, just outside of Alexandria’s walls, and is full of...The most peculiar of people. There are people that live here that look have robot or have genetically enhanced beastmen or, quite a few, that rebel against all forms of technology as a whole! The insane, deranged, and dangerous live here. Level 7 is the most dangerous Level of all of Alexandira and is commonly patrolled by military police and sentinel robots. Those of Level 7 have zero access to everything, including resources, and can barely get their foot anywhere in Alexandria. Takes a miracle to get out of Level 7. [u]Alexandira Prison[/u] and the [u]Insane Asylum[/u] reside here and they are poorly managed. [/indent] The Level one holds is universal across all of Alexandira, though serves most purpose in Alexandira specifically. Even is given a Level across all the States and it serves as rank among the commonfolk, though Alexandria is the only one of the 13 states that enforces it. [b][color=deepskyblue]Agua le Hernandez[/color][/b] - State on a large island to the East and is commonly shortened as AGH. State animal the Dolphin, state flower the lightblue andiosy, state flag 13 stars with a dolphin in the middle, state color is lavender and population 8 thousand. AGH is named after its founding lady and houses the number one production of weapons for all of Alexandira. [u]Battleship Plaza[/u] is within as well as the [u]Metallic Pools[/u] which are a man made structure that houses [i]metal[/i] lakes. [b][color=lightseagreen]Cape Marine[/color][/b] - Small state on the same island as AGH. Cape Marine has no locale residents due to a toxic gas that exists there. Cape Marine’s entire population was wiped out and it is being said that it is all due to “The Kingdom in the North”. State animal the white dove, state flower the bright blue sinbrush, state flag 13 stars with a white dove in the middle, state color is gray and population 0. [b][color=greenyellow]Rosario[/color][/b] - Rosario is known as the Robotics capital of all of Alexandria and is second in terms of technological height, alongside Kingston and Taylorsville. Rosario’s founding family, all Surname Rosario, for the most part are the lead engineers of everything related to robotics. Rosario is a very dry and desert town that has the typical dune and tumbleweed rolling by. The [u]Aspend Caverns[/u] and [u]Fire Caves[/u] are common tourist spots as well. The [u]Rosario Arena[/u] is the world renown arena where inventors from all over battle their robots against each other and place bets. State animal the Tortoise, state flower the bright sandy yellow brimeleaf, state flag 13 stars with a tortoise in the middle, state colors sandy yellow/baige and population 47 thousand. [b][color=slateblue]Roca[/color][/b] - City that is the farthest North and known as the Whirlwind city and the Rampaging city. Those of Roca are the most daring, they say, and the most crazy, most assume. Those of Roca scour the blue mountains on a very state obsessed desire to find rare Ghosnenite stones. Gems and stones are a sign of wealth in Roca. Roca has many hurricanes, has droughts as such the weather is not for everyone. Those of Roca are the most knowledged of Ghosnenite travel and are commonly sought for information on Ghosnenite lands. The [u]Rocan School of Discipline[/u] resides here and is considered the most hellish military school in all of Alexandria. To put it simply, ever brutal asshole that works in Alexandira was likely sent to this school and it is a requirement for all soldiers of Alexandira to attend. The horrible weather, harsh terrain, and subtle magical dangerous keep those within this city at their peak. Three military forts reside here in Roca and they are [u]Ft. Mom[/u], [u]Ft. Krye[/u] and [u]Ft. Simmons[/u]. More commonly than all other states, Roca sometimes gets attacked by magical monsters from Ghosnenite, as such they have some hatred for Ghosnenites. State animal the Bear, state flower the hard and bristly torny aguavevera, state flag 13 stars with a bear in the middle, state colors gold and navy and population 1.2 million. [b][color=blueviolet]Taylorsville[/color][/b] - Named after the family that founded it and, like Rosario, they hold a great deal of influence. Those with the surname pretty much run all the largest businesses and are the administrators of the entire city. They are looked at very coldly by the cityfolk as those with the last name Taylorsville are said to be very arrogant, self absorbed and snotty. They don’t care for anyone other than themselves and tend to be somewhat corrupt. Their corruption has, as of the last 15 years, required Alexandira to step in and [i]adjust[/i] some crooked policies. For the most part, the city mostly exists to make the lives of those with the last name Taylorsville better and it is quickly becoming a bigger and bigger problem in the state. On top of the corrupt business runners, there has been talks of [u]The Sky Falling in Taylorsville[/u] though it has been as confusing a situation as it sounds and quickly the state is starting to lose control. State animal the Flamingo, state flower the strawberry strigon, state flag 13 stars with a pair of flamingo in the middle, blood red and black and population 112 thousand. [b][color=springgreen]Harriston[/color][/b] - Another terrorist attack, as reported by Alexandira. It was the most recent in which the entire city was obliterated. No one survived, according to reports, but the entire city was destroyed in one beam of magical light. It was formally a very large city, the closest to the border, but it was wiped out leaving no one...Which is incredibly suspicious as Harriston has technology comparable to  Rosario...But it was all erased. State animal the Elephant, state flower the the blue colored water lue, state flag 13 stars with an elephant in the middle, state colors gold and navy and population 0. There is a rumor going around in Alexandria, particularly Level 7, that the attack was orchestrated by Alexandria itself. [b][color=Brown]Kingston[/color][/b] - Another military state, like Roca, that has two forts which are [u]Ft. Kingston[/u] and [u]Ft. Irony[/u]. Kingston’s primary focus is on agriculture and produces 98% of all the crops that feed all the country. As such, those that live here focus on biology, botany and horticulture. Most of Alexandria’s animal conservatories exists here as well as the [u]Black Gate of Gravity[/u] and the [u]Great Kingston Forest[/u]. The founding family of Kingston is large, it being the most common surname in the state, as such everyone enjoys a very equal and universal lifestyle. The Level system of Alexandria is not encouraged or enforced here at all, As most of the city rank as general laboror, students, scientists and engineers at Level 6. They don’t support but however they still use it simply because they have too. Respect is a big part of Kingston and it is the largest city in all of Alexandria. Kingston is the second largest city and has mixed relations with Alexandira and, as of the recent terrorist attacks, somewhat become opposed to Alexandria potentially increasing strain within the nation. State animal the giraffe, state flower the berry bearing melonyellow, state flag 13 stars with a giraffe in the middle, state colors brown, red and green and population 28 million. [b][color=aqua]Morgana[/color][/b] - Known as the State of Order. Morgana is a state full of the annals of Alexandria, has all the recorded laws, and is where the [u]Morgana School of Law[/u]. The [u]Starflies[/u] exist here which is a series of islands that holds some secret purpose. Only those within Level 3 known what these are for and even those of Level 1 and 2 are restricted from knowing their purpose however, they have been used once for the Execution of a President 750 years ago as well as the Execution of the last president, 2 years ago, in which the current president was put in place. No one was allowed or told the reason other than “Corruption”. This place is highly secretive, suspicious, and heavily guarded by Level 1 and Level 3 access requirements. Any who visit here, to view the historic annals, are always viewed as if they might be killed off at any moment. There is an unspoken purpose for this place and it is mostly an ignored sore thumb of Alexandria. It resides to the far East on an island north of AGH and Cape Marie. Some rumor that Morgana was the cause of Cape Marine. [b][color=aquamarine]Princeton[/color][/b] - Another border state and resides at the very end of the Serpentine Ruins. Princeton is actually very commonly attacked by ferocious monsters and is heavily self reliant as it is the furthest West of all the states. The nearest city, to the East Kingston, is a great ally and the two founding families are very close. Princeton is heavily self reliant, relying the least on Alexandria resources and participates the least in Alexandrian policy. Princeton is the most known for its [u]Cyborg Nation[/u] in which most of the citizens are partially mechanical or mechanically enhanced and its rugid, dangerous life style. Those that live in Princeton can have a normally partially cloudy, quiet summer day then the next day be attacked by an enraged behemoth many stories tall with the power to breath stoneflesh fire. Everyone is trained to fight. The end of the Serpentine ruins is one of the most dangerous places in all of Pathos commonly delivering wicked beasts unto the city. The city has almost been wiped out many, many times however, never wanting to quit and brandishing the patriotic Alexdrian stubbornness, those of Princeton are relentless fighters and fight for their home against some of the most dangerous of beasts. Recently, the attacks by magical monsters has been more aggressive on Princeton causing them to be more focused on that than the war of the North and South. Like those of Roca, Princeton founding family are said to be subject matter experts on battling the North’s dangers and are commonly enlisted into military pursuits. There is a saying that every infant knows how to shoot in Princeton. State animal the wolf, state flag 13 stars with a wolf in the middle, state colors gold and navy and population 23 thousand. The States of [color=mediumpurple]Graham[/color], [color=violet]Writhwill[/color] and [color=yellow]Scotsdale[/color] have no all so important aspects other than that they are all highly loyal to Alexandira and have a combined population of 148 thousand making them very small city states. [/hider] [hr][hr] [h2]Plot and Premise[/h2] Pure, violent, raging, unadulterated chaotic war. For the past 2000 years two countries have rivaled against one another always in competition. Never has it ever got so perturbed as recently, in which both are after each other's necks, but it is happening! Soldiers are gearing up and preparing to tear into the other country with everything they have; the patriotism making a man put everything they have into this conflict. This is by no accident either, however the pride and prejudice of the two countries has them erupting into a violent, dangerous game of war. The two countries have never been this ready for blows in the entirety of their recorded history and, as if to be the icing on the cake, both of the supreme rulers of both nations have agreed to full out war. Supposed attacks have already been implemented on the Southern Alexandria, two cities obliterated. The technological giant readies their armaments to tear into the magical nation and, preparing their own offense, the North prepares to unleash magic they have only dreamed of the opportunity of using. In the North the King remains unopposed and in the South the newly elected president of only a few years agrees to use all his force to destroy the North and all his council are in agreement. The people, having an aged dislike for the opposed country, are blind in their patriotism and prepare to destroy their rival...However, something is wrong, off even. The Sky falls in the South, people of importance go missing and secrets come to light through whispers….And in the North monsters and magical creatures rage, prophets foresee a horrible fate for all of Pathos, and a certain noble house has, for the first time in thousands of years, rebelled against the King. Talk of the King of the North being advised by a clown and similar talk of the President of the South... All is not well...And the whole picture is not seen...As the war begins something else stirs and this war is the perfect distraction for the people. Alright, for magic users: [b]Magic Restrictions:[/b] Limit your character to [b]being a master of 1 element/school of magic for every 15 years of their age[/b]. So, if your character is able to manipulate 4-6 different types of magic he would be between 60 - 90 years old and, like us regular folks, that would make them very old and frail. They could be from the capital and knowledgeable in many schools, but they would be more of a novice in them. No super geniuses, good at everything imaginable, and mary sue characters, please. However, you can still have an incredible mage in one or two particular schools. Another restriction would be any sort of magic that instantaneously kills another character, is unavoidable/unstoppable, and is something that completely bends at the level of plausibility. Magic here requires your character’s personal strength, or will, to be utilized to cast. The more powerful the magic the more tiring it will be on the character and stamina is not limitless. I will accept all types of magic, to that effect. Magic doesn’t have to be simply the power to create a fireball simply because you are from Zircon. Heat manipulation, becoming fire, speaking to fire, manipulating desert, sandstorms, lava, lightning , etc and so on are all acceptable schools to focus on but they would all be individual schools, if that makes sense? So if your mage is a masterful earth mage he would focus on something like manipulating vegetation or manipulating rocks or manipulating metal or manipulating animals, etc. Earth doesn’t mean everything under the sun. Think of the school of magic like his degree in college and the specific of the magic his major/discipline/focus. Such as a Dr. of Radiology or a Teacher that had a discipline in music. Really build your character’s magic. Make them unique! Aside from that, I will help you build if you have any difficulty. Be sure to still make your characters as strong as you feel comfortable~ [b]Science Restrictions:[/b] For those that are going to be using the tech side of the Rp be sure to list, in detail, the entirety of their character’s equipment. If you don’t list it you must get it IC and I will be sure to make any super convenient, borderline far too handy tools to be tricky to find revolving a possibly life threatening quest~ To that effect, be realistic. Technology costs money and takes resources to make. Your characters will, for the most part, not have everything had beck and call and, even if they do, they wouldn’t be able to take with them an entire supply for an entire military in their pocket. Keep a reasonable stash of equipment to keep the Rp fair, balanced, and at an even pace. Would you want to face a character that literally has every advantage in his pocket? Not as fun. Create a character with a balanced strength and weakness structure and, understand, that most of society is at Level 5 and lower, so you should only have access to certain equipment in the first place. I am going to say avoid too many spatial manipulating weaponry, but feel free to throw an original idea out there. I may love it. Also understand that all of technology should have a limitation. Overheating, limited ammo, batteries, limited space/uses, and range should all be very important in creating your character’s equipment. This is integral in them being approved if they have a very reasonable amount of strength and weakness. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as the perfect machine and, as such, every amount of technology should be able to be destroyed, malfunction, or lose durability. Be sure to keep that in mind with tech.
