MIRA IN THE NIGHT
- In a not so distant future, DNA manipulation and transhumanism re-shaped the world. The Government funded project N9NE. Tasked scientists with creating the next gen race when the Fantome super virus cut survival rates down to 39%. Prior attempts to make a vaccine against the virus proved futile.
Scientist Dr Richard V. Dresden tested on his own daughter, Mira. Since birth she developed mutations along her spinal cord. Her blood test results indicate no change when exposed to the super virus. More tests results came up negative after serval attempts. Mira has an immunity to the super vviru.
The constant isolation and abuse she endured after being poked and prodded left her deeply traumatised. She ran away when a scientist slipped up and wasn't prepared for her mutation to warp and give her literal wings.
Out on the streets, Mira encounters a kid with mutations similar to hers. He calls himself a scouter and that he'd been tasked with finding her and bringing her home.
New York's East Village offers a place called Sanctuary for lost souls. As far as rumors go, Mira heads there. But is it a Utopia? A new home where she's accepted? Or will she find an even worse hell than the one she's left behind?
