[@Mchaggis] thank you for your long detailed response! All your points are valid. I will look into adding a screw up militarily. For lightning bending, I will add his struggle was to switch his method from using anger to fuel his bending into calm strikes. I will also limit the range to 10 ft.

For his fatal flaw I'd prefer it didn't deal with military tactics on the enemy, but more of a social thing. If you'd like another flaw to be added I can make him solve problems through violence more often then not, sabotage etc. He is in war mode constantly. 

Yakedo was not a bloodline thing, just an art passed down that Ryuu did not reveal in combat until the Agni Kai.
