The criminal was not at all surprised by the offer, since it was what he had been expecting when his debt was called in by this guy. He could, at the very least, appreciate the fact that they were going with the carrot first, mostly like because he had been willing to show up rather than making them come for him. He had no doubt that it would have been otherwise in that situation. 

But before he could say anything h found that they had a rude interruption, some other Epic appearing to crash the party and suddenly casting a ring of grenades into existence. He eyed them nonchalantly, a clear disdain born of recognition that there wasn't much he could do if they did go off. His thing was glass, not being explosion or shrapnel proof. Besides, he figured his current companion with apparent disintegration powers would have something to say about that.

"Wow, someone is trying impressively hard to be edgy and dark," he commented aloud with a glance towards Guilt. "Compensating, I assume." 

Of course the grenades were a distraction from the incoming Phantom, but he quickly became aware of that as he was pulled by the same unseen force currently creating that debris cloud into the very cloud itself. Maybe his power was some kind of telekinesis? There wasn't enough evidence to be sure yet. 

That left him next to the man in the suit and Oni mask, who indicated the obvious result of refusing to go along with what he and his little group of revolutionaries had in mind. He assumed they were revolutionaries anyway, though the breed had yet to be determined. But given his occupation and his situation, he supposed it didn't matter that much so long as he wasn't one of the ones getting trampled in that revolution. 

After a moment he shifted the dagger that he had held previously into a thin rod, easier to carry in the current situation. "If I didn't want to accept then I would probably be out of town by now," he pointed out in return. "But you make a very persuasive argument anyways. Where do we begin?"
