Silverflower woke from another poor slumber. The makeshift warrior's den was small, cramped, and just overall uncomfortable. She had just recently become a warrior in Hollyclan after several moons of brutal training as an apprentice. Silverflower wasn't originally a member of the clan. She had once been a rouge cat. When she was young, barely old enough to eat solid foods her mother and littermates had been captured by Twolegs and sent away. She had been known as Silver back then and the reason she hadn't been caught was because she had been asleep in some tall grass. She was heartbroken when she woke to find her family gone with only the trace of Twolegs and motor oil (which she of course didn't know the name of). She had to grow up fast and learn to hunt on her own. She was barely alive when the clan found her and took her in. They had little to offer her but she was grateful for them for saving her life.
Silverheart walked out of the warrior's den and stretched her legs. She noticed the morning patrol returning empty handed. It wasn't their job to hunt of course, but any food was welcomed at this time. Sadly it seemed that not even the hunting patrols were returning with much food. The clan would have to get ready to move again.

"Foxpaw, wake up..." Darkpaw poked her brother with her front right shielded paw. Foxpaw turned in his sleep but didn't wake up. "Foxpaw!" She said a bit more stern. "Wake up already!" They were the only two apprentices left in the den. Darkpaw had been up for awhile but had hoped that her brother had woken up on his own for once. Sadly, she was wrong. "Wake up!" Darkpaw said, getting impaitent with Foxpaw and jabbed him lightly with one of her claws.
"Ow!" Foxpaw jumped up and turned around, knocking the bedding everywhere. "What was that for?" He asked, licking his side. There was no blood but he could still feel the sharp pain where his sister's claw had just been.
"You need to start waking up earlier. All the other apprentices have been up for awhile now and already working. If you really want to be a warrior you need to start acting like it." Darkpaw was typically a shy she-cat around most of the other members of the clan but not with her brother or parents. She exited the den without another word and her brother followed after her, sighing and complaining about the pain in his side.

Amberheart watched the morning patrol come back into the temporally camp. Her mate, Nightstalker had been a part of the patrol. She saw right away they were empty handed. She sighed sadly and walked up to Nightstalker. She licked his cheek in greeting, "How'd it go?"
"Same as always, there isn't much here the land has to offer." Nightstalker replied.
"Do you think our leader will have us move again soon?"
"I hope so, but I doubt soon. Look how little food we have. We are starving, all of us. We don't have the strength to travel."
