If he says he’ll be there, then he'll be there. Through rain, shine and more, he will do everything in his power to keep his word. His word is very important to him and rarely given without the intentions to fulfill it. Patient Noah's existing patience increased when he began to raise his younger brother. To most, he’s got the patience of a rock and is very hard to anger until his family is in danger. To Noah, this creates a fine line that differentiates him from his step-mother. Responsible He might've not expected to raise his younger sibling but he met the challenges head on. Noah couldn’t leave his younger brother in the care of his step mother and seeing the neglect was too painful. So older brother took on the mantle of being a ‘parent’ and the experience taught him how to nurture, love and be firm. It also taught him how to stand firm in his morals. Stable Noah has learned to become the very anchor of his broken, small family. When things begins to fall apart, he manages not to display his negative emotions on the outside. Thanks to his patience, it isn’t easy to draw out his temper or depression when push comes to shove. Instead, he forces himself to remain calm while figuring out the issue. Weaknesses Stubborn While Noah has his positive traits, he also has his negative ones. When he’s finally placed his foot down on a matter, it’s very difficult to get him to ease up on his final decision. He will stick with it no matter how small or big it might be. Most things he’s against is dares, bets and facing his fears. He never rises to the mockery or insult because he finds dares or bet ridiculous. It's more often someone is going to get hurt than any good coming from them. This has caused more than one fight with his friends and family when he makes a mole hill into a mountain. Caution Out of all his friends, Noah’s always been the voice of reason and often the most cautious of them all. But, this has proven to stunt his more adventurous side because he takes time to evaluate the risks. It takes the danger of one of his family or someone he cares about for him to brush it aside and take the faithful leap. Another way is by forcing him to keep his word. Abrupt and Uncontrolled Changes Enjoying a lot of planning in life, Noah finds it hard to adapt when things alter . It doesn’t mean he can’t, but he will try to seek a rhythm and pattern to follow when it comes to accomplishing given tasks. When he can’t find one, his frustration and discomfort tugs at his patience enough to wary it down. irritated enough it’s difficult to hide. OathKeeper When his word is given, Noah will do everything humanly possible to keep it. This can range from lying to broken bones, through his caution often keeps him safe. He values his word above his pride or strength. Sexuality: Hetersexual Relationship Status: Single (through dated once or twice) Fears: Rats You would think a large fellow like Noah wouldn’t jerked and jump at the sight of a rat, right? You would very wrong. Rats are a childhood fear of his, developed from the age of fourteen. A large, curious rat crept into his bed then him. It left more than physical scars and lasted him into adulthood. Homophobic While minor, any display of homosexuality makes Noah uncomfortable. It causes him to retreat and avoid the individual in question. He hasn’t any idea where this fear came from but he associates it with the fact he’s never exposed to it. The few times he had, the individual assumed he was also into guys and it left a sour taste in his mouth since. He doesn't understand the dynamic of it all and isn’t about to resolve his ignorance. Death and the Unknown Who isn’t afraid of this? Noah is like every other individual and he has a logical desire to live his life out to the fullest. This desire also extends to his family. He doesn’t quite believe in heaven since he’s never seen any true proof of any deity beyond the words in the pages of a book. So what happens after death actually terrifies him more than the actual death itself. Likes: Cooking Paintball Football, Basketball, Chess, Disc Golf, & few other similar sports (all land). Beatbox & Acapella Music Pets (Except for RATS or mice!) Reading and Relaxing after a hard day Spending time with Ethan (playing paintball, shooting hoops, etc) Dislikes: Unexpected changes Drugs & Gang Violence Stepmother Mice (they are smaller than rats, but still creepy...) Their small apartment Other: Hobbies When he has spare time, Noah enjoys learning new methods to cook and recipes. Often he studies the ingredients and their favors before he will budget them into his costs. Paint balling (and other sports) with Ethan. So he knows how to play things from football to paintball, even disc golf. Works out at least about 2-3 times a week. Ticks & Habits When he's frustrated and irritated to his limit, Noah presses his fingers into his nose bridge. He inhale and exhale a few times to clear his mind. It’s his way of reining in his temper and trying to keep himself in check when he's hit his patience limit. When he’s reached his comfort limit, he will hold his ‘tongue’. Doing this, he grits his teeth together and not actually biting his tongue. In thought over a puzzle or difficult situation, he runs his fingers across his goatee. When uncomfortable over things, he will avoid them. This includes people. He usually pretends to be busy, sick or having something else happening around the same time. If asked about his avoidance, he won't give an answer unless pressed. Unknown to anyone, he's ashamed about it. Required word: Sushi… love it.

Appearance
Height: 6’ 0” Weight: 225 lbs. Eye Color: Chocolate Brown Hair Color & Style: Build: Muscular (think quarterback on a football team) Skin Tone: Medium Brown Style: Noah isn’t a fancy dressing type of guy, but he does look excellent in a suit. On casual days, give him a torn pair of worker jeans and a simple tee shirt with any random design he liked. He will be more be content in things he doesn't have to worry about getting filthy. On his feet are usually cheap and worn sneakers showing how active he is. About his neck is a small steel bullet pendant that fits close to his neck. Other: Left Arm: Covered in small, faded scars where the rat bit and scratched him.

Skills
Skilled: Organization Some people believe that Noah might have a form of OCD when it comes to his things. He likes having everything in a set order and place, especially whenever he cooks. Noah can create a very well thought out and effective system which he will continue to maintain on his own. Cooking Since he was young, Noah enjoyed to cook. It was his escape and pleasure, since each taste wove almost a story with the flavors. He could also exercise his creative side in a way people could enjoy. Memorization Noah has a photographic memory. This skill allows him to recall a memory he’s stored away and without much effort. Each detail preserved as if he had lived it once more making it difficult for him to get things wrong. Endurance/Stamina/Durability In great physical shape, Noah has strong endurance, stamina and durability when it comes to contact sports. He can take a decent beating and keep on going. All thanks to the fact he’s played several sports, American football to soccer, with his brother. They finally settled on three main things: chess, paintball, basketball and occasionally football. The weekly workouts and trips to the gym clearly helped too. Strength Due to his high involvement in sports and time at the gym, Noah's considered stronger than the average guy. His current record for bench press is 235 lbs, though any higher risks injury. Heavy loads aren’t an issue for him since he loads and unloads concrete mix bags daily. Shooting (with a paintball) Ethan is heavy into paintball despite his handicap. To make up for his brother’s weakness, Noah strengthened his ability to shoot in medium to long distances. All Ethan had to do was spot their target and Noah took it from there. This keep them in places where they could say safe, move less, and made them a good team. Being good at shooting in paintball, in theory, would make Noah an excellent shot but he's never tested it out. Nor does he ever want to. Sign Language Ethan, being legally deaf, required Noah to learn sign language. Over time this skill became second nature. Noah understands and able to speak in sign language. In public he uses words along side it to vocalize his meanings and allow Ethan to read his lips. General: Raising Kids Noah wouldn’t agree he’s good at it, but it seems he’s got a knack for being a nurturing and caring type. Raising his younger brother since he was three years old, he knows what every child needs and the hard work. Over time, he developed the ability to read Ethan's body language. He could even tell when his brother was in a sour mood by a brief glance. Not perfected yet, Noah still makes mistakes time to time. He works better young teens or children than adults. Math (Basic) Noah developed his basic math skills to help budget for food, rent, and other needs. This has also made him excellent in money management. Long Hours in Physical Labor The only reason he’s not good at it is because his heart isn’t in it. Noah has been hauling around heavy things since he was sixteen. Unable: Fear Facing If you request him to do anything with his fears, you’ll disappointed. No matter how hard he tries, Noah finds himself unable to face them and often either avoids or flees from them. It’s an impossible task for him. High Math Anything beyond basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division will result in several errors. He can try and try to do the math correctly, but he’ll always be off. It’s a frustrating thing to him. Bystander Noah never imagined himself being the hero type, but he can’t stand and watch others suffer. Especially if he can do something about it. One day this might actually come into conflict with his fears, but until then he approaches it case by case. His cautious side prevents him from physically harming others. Sleeping in none City settings Noah can't sleep in a forest or wilderness setting because there's no city sounds. When forced to, he will toss, turn and become restless until very late into the night. His mental state suffers making him more irritable and moody than normal.

History
Who were you:
Mark Griffin found love in Beverly Lynwood. After dating for a year, they began a family. Noah was a healthy, lively baby boy that became the apple of his parents' eyes. They settled down in Redmond, WA, for about years before tragic struck. A drug addict, seeking a quick fix and easy money, held up the small general store Beverly visited on her way home. On the attempt to escape, she made a sound. It startled the addict who shot in her direction and hit her in the head. Bleeding out upon the floor, Beverly's last thoughts were about her family. The loss cut Mark to the core, but thankful Noah couldn’t yet understand what had happened. The father to decide to make some radical decisions for the future. First, he took a year off. Then he moved things from his home in Redmond to Illinois where his grandmother still lived. It was at the elder woman’s insistence and still in mourning, Mark wanted to start anew. From the age of six to thirteen, Noah lived in Woodstock Illinois. It was a small town that flourished due to its close proximity to Chicago. He became more active and this led to an interest in sports, but it wasn’t his only budding one. Noah had developed an enjoyment of cooking. It began after a cooking course in his school and shortly spiraled into a desire to become a chef. To appease his son’s future goals, Noah’s father enrolled him into Junior cooking classes. Years passed in a blur until things came once more into focus when he was fifteen. His father found someone else to introduce into their lives: a woman named Karen Campbell. She appeared to be a pleasant and endearing individual, but something wasn’t right with her in Noah’s mind. He couldn’t figure out why exactly. This made explaining to his father difficult. In the end it didn’t matter as Karen discovered she was pregnant the next year. Mark felt obligated to marry her because their newborn child needed a father in his life. Shortly after, they had an extravagant wedding. A month after that, his grandmother passed away. Struggling for money, Noah was more uprooted when his father took a better paying one in Chicago. At first, they seemed like a family. At least on the outside. Under the portrait, there was a darkness hidden from sight. Karen changed whenever Noah’s father wasn't home. She became a drug addict and a notorious spender. Each day she lived her life surrounded by the elegance she believed she deserved. During the year they lived together, things began to stop happening. home cooked meals became less frequent, the house was often left in mess, and a heavy debt grew on his father’s credit card. It was a far cry from a happy home. In the beginning Noah hardly noticed because of his active life. Rarely home, he explored his own interests but when Ethan was born… things became obvious. Noah would come home to found the infant screaming and soaking wet diaper, not a single need met all day. Unable to provide proof to his father when it came to Karen’s neglect behavior, he took matters into his own hands. Noah began to pick up the slack. This went from cooking to cleaning causing his grades to dip. He even gave up his cooking courses for his brother’s wellbeing. In a few months, the conflict between the parents began late at night when they thought he was asleep. He was eighteen and graduated when his father finally divorced Karen. Both ass deep in debt, Noah sought part time employment. He found it at a construction company and a restaurant. Long hours but decent pay, things were rough for a while before they got better. During his free time, Noah began to fill out the role his father should've for his little brother, Ethan. The boys, despite their conflicts at times, grew close. When Ethan turned ten, his hearing began to falter and soon he became deaf. It was heart wrecking for the small family as communication was difficult. Noah was the first, and only one, to learn sign language despite his many responsibilities. The next big thing happened when his father became injured on the job about a year ago. One of the factory machines mangled the old man's leg. It was bad enough that he required emergency surgery and placed him on disability. His father became immediately depress and turned to drinking away the pain. This forced Noah to once more picked up the slack while they waited for the compensation check to come in. One night, after coming home late, he noticed a Ethan shuffle to the kitchen. Narrowing his eyes, he followed the teenager…
Family: Father: Mark Griffin Mother (deceased): Beverly Lynwood Grandmother (deceased): Sarah Griffin Step-Mother: Karen Campbell Step-Brother: Ethan Griffin How did you fall into Fae hands: It seems his brother, due to a deal done by his mother’s grandfather, was the first born son in her family and would be spirited away. Unable to allow that to happen, Noah made a counter deal to save Ethan. Him in exchange for his brother. The fey thought a moment. A smirk cracked across her stoic expression and agreed. It was enough send shivers down his spine. Deep down, he felt like he had just signed his death certificate. When the agreement concluded, he bravely walked into the portal. He hoped for the best for his family as he departed from the world he knew and into the unknown.
