I think the main point of the article was that knowingly infecting your partner with a disease was worse than misusing words, which I think is...odd. 

Still, it wasn't on whether using pronouns is or is not bad. Whether you believe that a trans person is truly the gender they say or not, isn't it at least nice to use what makes the patient comfortable? [@The Harbinger of Ferocity]
