I see where you are coming from, your character is more interested in getting the job done, rather than talk about the job and I would like to work with that. I don't want to gloss over exposition, so if you'd like we can have you character have an early encounter with what will be the guild's first hunt. Nymeria also has to weigh in here, as she is the captain.
