Kurono jumped behind a new tree as the wolf rushed past him. [i]Geez, I wouldn't want that thing after me,[/i] he thought, his heart pounding. [i]Feet, if you plan to move anytime soon, it would be really smart not to stick around here,[/i] he tried to convince himself, but he knew he wanted to see this through to the end no matter what logic or reason dictated. 

[i]I guess we're staying put, then?[/i] he asked himself as he turned around the tree again to continue his viewing.
