It is. Well, it's a history book more than anything. Just in the Lore, there's no question there is a God and angels so they treat Eru Ilúvatar and all of the mythological shit like we would treat historical figures.

He might have been catholic. *Googles* Yep, he was Catholic. I love how it effected his writing, like how he didn't enjoy making all Orcs evil since [i]everyone[/i] can be a saved person, and he just didn't know what to do with them.
