• Personal History •
Inari was born by a small lakeside town in the winter of that year, and she almost seemed to blend into her surroundings. A pale baby with bright blue eyes the color of the frozen lake, she had been been put into high praise from a young age with high expectations set upon her shoulders. Her mother was a track and field athlete, and her father was a lead researcher of Pokemon DNA. It was fair to say that a combination of brain and brawn required perfection. Inari had lived up to expectations though. A quick learner, she had walked and talked long before most toddlers had learned to babble, and definitely did not fail the expectations of others or her parents.
By the time she had reached the age of 6, she had begun her interest in Pokemon. Although her father was not present too often in her life due to his job requiring him to be ways away from home on a consistent basis, he would always send her pictures of his travels, and what he’d seen, the various brands of Pokemon that he’d encountered on his trips, the people he’d met, the places he’d been. For a girl that young, it was a sure sentence for her to become enthralled and that is exactly what happened. A mind filled with Wanderlust and a desire to achieve that by any means necessary. This is perhaps where her interest in art started, as she found herself sketching up ideas of where her father had been, and pictures of Pokemon she had in her head.
Her mother didn’t exactly fancy that idea for her daughter however. In her, she saw a perfect human being and having not been on a Pokemon journey herself, and hearing about the various troubles from her husband, she did not wish for her daughter to head down that path. Trying desperately, she shoved millions of tasks and lessons upon her from Piano, to Track, to even Karate. All had failed to track her interest despite her innate talent and proficiency at them. Whilst the girl learned them, her mind had been set on one thing and it seemed like nothing in the world could stop her from getting what she wanted.
Her father had agreed to take her out on an expedition, and trusting her husband, her Mother had allowed it, hoping it’d temporarily quench the thirst for adventure that the girl had, only to find that it had made it worse, She had come back with a Poke-ball and she was told that upon her next travel, she’d catch her first pokemon. Ecstatic at the thought, she began readying herself.
Researching every day looking to find out more about Pokemon, what they were, what they did, how to train them, she found herself increasingly knowledgeable upon the topic of Pokemon and was practically bursting with energy every day at the prospect of getting to have her own, the idea of a lifelong companion suited her very well.
She’d went through most of her life with a breeze at this stage. She had her interests, went to school and did typical things that young girls do, but the desire never went away and before long, she was on another expedition with her father. The cold was never a place that people wanted to head, but she was born in the winter and had no qualms with obtaining a pokemon regardless. Her father was investigating Beartic sleeping patterns and saw an opportunity to land his daughter a cub as a good starter, given the cute appearance and all.
She couldn't go on the trip unfortunately. The mission was considered too dangerous for a young girl without the formal training, and her father didn't want to bring her a Pokemon without her catching it herself. This of course upset her, but it also made her glad that her father knew who she was. She had no qualms in prolonging her journey if it was to catch her first Pokemon, as she didn't want him to do stuff for her.
Going forward a few years, she had completed her studies, with an option to go to higher education after her journey. She had everything she needed to set out. Her mother had been preparing for it for a long time, and took it surprisingly well, knowing that her daughter was going to come back after long and realise that it isn’t what it was all set out to be, and her father was glad that his child was going to experience the world and her dreams since he never got the chance to do so at such a young age.
With fire in her heart, and a thirst for adventure, she set off on her journey!
