[@Stitches] [@LordLinguinie] made a post of the creature coming back to the Island further up in the IC, and before that the creature faced Davos as he wanted to early scout snd it got away.

From what I gather it's abandoned because its pretty much rocky terrain and has a cave network where the creature is with eggs.
