Local Time

*Note: Okay - remember to PM me BEFORE you post if you are in Vera's office! (This is ONL, Morose, Pundii, Nallore) No one has gotten an ALL CLEAR roll yet with George. Streets Of Cairo: "Just stop by here tomorrow, I just live up there," Rosheen said as she pointed towards the stair case to the side of the little food stop and then up to the balcony that hung over head. It was a common practice in Cairo that the businesses were on street level and anything above that was apartments. Some buildings were owned by families that lived for generations there and they just kept building up as more room was needed while running their little own business out of the front. It was how so many businesses were alive in the side streets. Not everyone had main street access, so alleyways became the local markets and the main fairs became what the tourists were used to. It also explained why prices were so much lower just by turning the corner instead of finding an entirely different area of town. "The older couple should have a view thinner pieces of fabric as well that would do to make a veil. Though there are a more than a few places in town that you can buy the items already ready made. If you are good with a needle then by all means make your own but you may want to grab one or two already done. If anything would let you have one to wear while you finish your own, and would also let you see how they do it," Rosheen said as she pointed over towards a couple of vendors across the way. "Or you could just be like me, be in Cairo long enough that they know you live here and aren't buying everything they sell when you walk by. Took me ages though before I stopped getting mauled," she said with a bit of a laugh. "The first few months here though were a test in patience to say the least." Taking a cautious step back he tried to keep his head turned so that Lauren wasn't getting a full on view of the mask. It seemed to be simpler sometimes to hide it as best he could around people that were not used to his appearance. Neema got up from where she was and proceeded to go check on Nora now that Lauren seemed to have at least some of her wits about her and wasn't running off and screaming. Kneeling down she tilted her head to the side as she gathered her robes and bunched them up around her ankles so that they would be out of the way. "My girl, you were startled. It okay. He seems alright," she said as she brushed some of Nora's hair back out of her face and gave her a reassuring smile. George figured it would be best if he didn't approach either of the two still laying out on the floor. Walking over to the couch he sat down on the edge and placed his hands on his knees, hunching over slightly as he did and trying to keep the mask portion of his face turned as much away from them as possible between glancing over to try to make sure they were okay. He hoped Peter would get back over there quick enough. Hearing the man George sighed a bit. "Mmm, fainted," George said as he patted his hands on his knees and rocked back slightly as he sat there. "Gave you a pillow. Better than then floor for your head." Vera looked down at Peters hand before looking up at William. This was not a position that she wished to be caught in but she hadn't had a chance to think before she ran off. She just had. Her instincts driving her. Why they had driven her to William she didn't know but now that Peter was there, this just wouldn't do. The scandal it could cause to have her caught in the arms of another man besides her suitor, it wouldn't matter that she had been scared out of her wits. Peter noted the look on Williams face and simply smiled. "I promise you Vera, what ever way your opinions have been colored because of Mr. Drake here, it is no reflection on George," he said as he kept his hand out, patiently waiting. His patience seemed to have paid off as Vera nodded timidly and finally released William. Her hand resting in Peters and stepping over to him in a moment of silence before she spoke. "I am dreadfully sorry Peter, such behavior. I hope I have not offended your friend..." she said in sheepish voice. Shaking his head Peter chuckled as Vera stepped over to him and spoke. Reaching over with his cane in hand he touched the under side of her chin and tilted it up so he could look into her brown eyes. "Vera darling, you could never offend any mans senses," he said in a charming voice before leaning in and placing a soft kiss to her brow. He eyes darting over towards William for a moment before pulling back and looking back down at Vera. "Now, shall we try introductions once again?"

Aziza Tarek

Location: Her Quarters
Aziza bit her bottom lip lightly. She wasn't sure if he wasn't telling her because he didn't want to talk about it or just simply he didn't want to talk to her about it. Either way, it was obvious that he wasn't just going to open up about everything and she really couldn't blame him. It took her a rather nasty scare to finally say anything to him about her past. The past wasn't ever easy for people, especially if it was a rough past. They seemed to have that in common at least. Giving him a nod, she decided to let it go as best she could but she didn't want to drop it completely. Maybe one day I read what you write? Help me better with my English," she said in a kind voice. It wasn't a lie, she could use the practice and what better way than to actually read. Plus she figured if he did want her to know but didn't know how to talk about it perhaps reading it would make it easier for him. If not then he could just never let her read it and that would be that. "Maybe we should go check on others?" she said after a long silence. They had been gone a while from the group considering they had stopped by both their places, and had been back and sitting and talking. It would probably be prudent to see what was going on and if there was a way they could help. Maybe getting along with things would help Harry relax a bit and keep his mind off things. It surely would help her. Seemed right then she was either focused on what was going wrong in her own life or worried about what was eating at Harry. For her own sake she needed to clear her mind a bit and there was no way she was going to be able to go to her place of work tonight to dance; which was a shame because dancing, entertaining in general, always cleared her mind. Yet it wasn't safe anymore.
