The Arceae camp stood, in peace except the camp area of the Royals. With Iana leading the first scouting group, another begins to head out aswell to one of the three gates. "Sis. is this truly necessary?" Grimm spokes in a worried tone. He held his tome tightly as he watched his sister pack a few of her belongings. She then turned to him with a serious yet sullen expression. "Iana went out. the second scout group should have someone close in terms of reliability." Moore retorted, she was serious about heading into the gate. Part of it was her plan, the queen just led the first scout group and now another group is supposed to send out. "Moore. Im sure a different Kain could handle it." Cainhurst replied as he too, watched the female twin packing. Despite the worried tone, he helped her packed as a sign of good will. A small bag that resembled a large pouch, containing Several tomes. Her Short sword which she had kept sheathed to her side and lastly. Her Cloak. "Do you guys not trust one of your Head Tacticians?" Moore spoke with a sarcastically sad tone and expression, putting puppy eyes to good effect as she gained the favor of Cainhurst who had just said "I do trust our tactician's." as if trying not to pick sides between the puppy eyed sister and the pouting brother. "No way..." Grimm sighed, deciding to give up. acknowledging that he is now without a favor, against the stubborn sister. However, He had opted to go with her. Despite not liking entering unfamiliar lands last known to have attacked creatures of the world, he didn’t want to leave his sister nor his queen out alone. "Grimm. The kingdom can’t run with Cainhurst alone." Moore replied as she decided to embrace her brother. Of course, the three knew this sentiment and Cainhurst joined in their embrace. The plan is incomplete without necessary info, the months spent in the caverns were survivable, but a breath of fresh air was needed. And as such, Moore said her farewells. Taking with her a Younger Deamon and Exhile as companions, then a bagon and Serphentine. out into the unknown. Outside the gate, you were greeted by the ruins of a city the likes you have never before seen before, as buildings soaring high up into the sky above, and roads that were made of glass displaying image after images of goods and services that have never before seen in your civilization. Soon, it was evident what caused its collapsed as orc, dwarven, and human corpses litters the streets. clearly there was no winner as the city was no longer the lively city it was but, now a shadow of its former glory as the fires still burns engulfing a few more buildings nearby. The stench of decay and rot dominants the air suggesting that the battle occurred some time ago and the most perverse art that happened was the discriminably killing of anyone regardless of who they are, as with the orcs that they have brought their young with them and with the humans where their children holding tightly their families. But, all of them are now equal as the dogs chew on them spreading out blood and gore everywhere filling the streets again with the history that those that rest now witness. You hear a faint sound coming from the subway station below you, the faint sounds of footsteps and the clanking of iron, and the faint sound of something roasting, it smells like meat but from what you don't know. Looking down to it a small glimmer of light can be seen. As the small scout team arrives at the other side of the gate, the look of horror becomes scattered on the faces of the Exhile and Deamon. One that leaves them both speechless. Moore kept calm and had immediately moved towards the corpses. "Antal. Mind bringing me one of each body?" She spoke as if normal. Despite the kingdom's power and training, the sight of what is presumed War may have been more chaotic to some but. One of the head tacticians knew how dire circumstances can get. The Deamon had picked up a orcs, dwarves and humans of all shapes and sizes. "Seems any non-human is an outsider. Considering the differences in what little bearing each have." Moore conducted a series of inspections on the clothes and belongings of each, finding a distinct style difference between the humans and Non-humans. As she continued pondering the mechanics on both sides, The Exhile had picked up a few things that had looked usable. "A few other-worldly trinkets might be good." The exhile girl mumbled to herself as she picked up a few items that seemed to be in working condition. As the Exhile girl seemed to find these a fun thing to have, Moore and the Deamon had investigated the so-called trinkets. But didn’t have much luck aside from the cartridge and trigger systems that was in them. Then there was the sound and smell that caught the attention of the three in which they decided to check out. "Levis, surdus, occultatum." Moore chants with clear mind, she turns herself and her two allies invisible, with their steps making naught a sound. The nearby dogs seemingly skipping them as if they could not smell, see nor hear them. Of course, the three did their best not to step too close as they needed the "untouching" effect to be at its maximum if in case something were to happen with the station. With the Female twin now leading the way at the forefront, the three continue into the station of the voiceless. The tunnel was dim and dark though, mirrors and other iron background can be seen decorating the tunnel, with a huge tunnel just right outside the platform they were standing on. The smell was horrendous, as the small fire in the middle was actually cooking the rotten remains of weirdly armored and armed humans while the area was filled with starving goblins feasting on the remains of what was left of them. While they were guarding what seems to be a giant armored wagon on the tunnel, a group of the modern humans were still inside, and it seems that they were destined for dinner for the goblins as the goblins looks with hungry eyes and watery mouths. they stalk them waiting for them to open the doors letting them inside. But, while they stare at one another, the fire slowly starts to spread slowly. Still the entire scene was gruesome as heads, body parts, and guts decorate the large tunnel and repainted the wall in deep red. The and the perpetrators was just in front, looking forward to the cowering looks of their soon to be victims, helplessly waiting for starvation or for them to get in. With the dimness of the station opposing the team to go through under "normal" circumstance, the sister begins to give out orders as they draw near to the scene. With the sight before them, the exhile had not taken it lightly as well as the Deamon who knew that invading ones home with ill intent was not one of courtesy. "Ad oculos aperire. Pauca caveto." Moore spoke with a clear tone, and as if a switch. The two knew what to do. The Deamon had taken out a lute as he strummed the first note, the exhile girl had broken out of concealment and made the first move. Her wings letting her soar a meter or two upwards and quickly moving her to a dive kick that knocks down the goblin with ease. "Remember the plan. Grant." Moore continues, aiming her words towards the Deamon bard whose playing was affecting the capabilities of the Exhile and the Rucier. Iris did not let starving goblins close to the door, using her physical strength and magical aptitude to keep them at bay.
https://youtu.be/HFtsOnZawyI
As the first goblin gets hit, the surrounding goblin noticed releasing a loud cry that echoes throughout the tunnel network. After the echo has traveled to a certain distance numerous of the same cry, returns your location as the sound of countless footsteps can be heard getting closer and closer. A horde of the goblins are coming their way. The humans’ panics as the adults ordered the children to hide under the seats while the others try everything they can to fortify the doors, while they can be seen outside by the light the emanates from the ceiling of the structure. The goblins in bay smiled as they hear their reinforcements getting closer. One of humans urges the daemon to get inside as he pulls out the barricades and opens the door. but, the others beat him down trying to make him close the door. "GET IN HERE." He said as the crowd continues to beat him down but, the man endures the beating as he holds the door. The moment the cries started, and smug faces arrived on the faces on those Iris fought. Moore had deduced that if there were other encampments nearby, they would attract their troubles. However, the same cannot be said for the group closest to them. And if there weren’t other camps, then this was an unnecessary danger. Nonetheless. There seemed to be quite a large sum of goblins which would tire Iris. Moore pondered on how to beat goblins as Iris happily thrashed waves of goblins by using other goblins as weapons despite not being all that bigger. Grant's playing went from a subtle tune to a higher action one that let Iris become more ecstatic fighting. "Iris, please round up all the goblins. Grant, keep up the work." Moore told them as she approached the man. Her smile towards him looking abit sadistic as she stepped closer. "non legere memoria!" She chanted with a smile and a flick on the forehead of the man who held the door open. Doing so, she could quickly learn the language of the people or at least what they use. She then turns to them with the chaos behind her being made by Iris. "Close the door, we will come in later. Please do not be alarmed nor leave. If all possible, try not to do the latter." Moore ordered calmly, a smile half sincere and half sadistic as complex magical circles started to appear, and her book automatically being flipped. Using force from her magic, she makes the man let go and closes the door. "back to work then." She mumbled as circles still kept coming, her cat ears now popping up and twitching. Grant's playing now causing the goblins to have their attentions focused at Iris whilst Moore re-activated her concealment spell on herself. "Grant, be free to switch with Iris once she starts tiring herself." She ordered, Grant simply nodding as he kept strumming.
https://youtu.be/MkoRlRCZc1s
The people look in awe as the girl takes on the seemly numberless waves of goblins head on, seeing that the goblins are occupied by the warrior the men hatched a plan to power up the train so that they can finally leave the cursed monster filled tunnel. "The train news power to start." The conductor responds as he starts fiddling with the controls but, to no avail as it displays insuffienct power. "In the tunnels ahead, there is an emergency switch that would allow the train to function." The conductor continues to explain even further pointing to a nearby tunnel just on the side of the train tracks. The men of the group were scared as even with the warrior there was still a lot that can go wrong as the goblins keeps on attacking her in endless waves, not demoralized by their losses and there was the other problem of encountering them when they are in the tunnels. "I volunteer." The worried looks of the group was broken with the volunteer. "I got us in this mess, I have to get us out of it." The man that was holding the door earlier said. "Ok, I'm going too then." A dark-skinned man said as he steps us with him, once was nervous was now gone as he stands with him. Then after some time two more joined up with him. Now they stand on the door waiting for the time to execute the plan. The train itself didn't have any wheels or any kind of indication of how it would function or travel, and soon the volunteers of the group charges on the bodies of those that have fallen to the goblin quickly grabbing what seems to be weird twisted rods or slabs of iron and other various object that they can use in getting to the tunnel and power up the generator long enough for them to escape. As the plan kept going, Iris attracted more and more goblins to her along with the Deamon's song. Moore had noticed the uproar happening as soon as she closed the gate, causing her to rush her spell. Grant was almost to the end of his song, which gave the signal for Iris to leave. With a single glance between the three, Iris jumped upward, and grab hold onto one goblin with a single hand. Grant played a small tune that had paralyzed everything and everyone in the vicinity except himself and Moore who had magical circles on her forehead move above the goblins, looking like a complex gear and with a roar, magical arrows rain from the ceiling in a flash. Finishing off a majority of the goblins. She could not risk the enclosed space collapsing and came to the conclusion that a modified Magical arrow rain spell mixed with a paralysis in a large area was sufficient. "Grant, please be ready to play." Moore spoke as he stopped the paralysis. The dust created from the arrow rain, she waited for it to settle, two magical circles still remains on her, turning like gears behind her. "What about the humans?" Iris howled from the ceiling, her magic surpressing the goblin she held in an attempt to keep it alive. "Protect them perhaps?" Grant suggested in a rather calm tone. "Yes. We need information. Good work by the by." Affirming the next move, Moore gives a thumb up to Iris for thinking about keeping the goblin alive. As for the people who had decided to move, she had decided to observe them. "I shall go with them. You too keep up the good work." Moore told them as she was ready to use a spell on the goblin, but decided to wait for it. Since Iris is keeping him in check. As soon as the humans started grabbing things and running, Iris blocks their way and Moore steps towards them. The men continued with their goal, getting to the sleeping generators. "What do we do!?" one of them said as he panics quickly guarding the entrance of the room. "Don't worry." one of the larger build of them said as he starts working on it pulling out wires, cutting them and finally connecting them. As he fiddles with it, the light of the station lights up, scaring the goblins away retreating back ever deeper into the tunnel. The train starts raising ten inches from the ground, and slowly makes its way to the tunnels, in front of it slowly gathering speed in even minute. At this time the men have started to run to the vehicle barely catching it before it accelerates faster and faster. grabbing the railing before it was too fast for them to get to but, before one of them was able to secure his hold he falls off. The three watch the train go, Iris steps aside as to not get hit. But as for the one that fell. Moore chanted a quick spell that had frozen the man that had fallen, left alone by his own companions. Grant picks him up and the three ties up the goblin and the human. "It’s a shame I’m not able to talk to a larger audience." Moore says gloomily as she does one her spells that was heard once already and flicks the goblins forehead. This allowed her to "speak" in their tongue or at least transcribe her words into the tongue of the creature. Grant and Iris had checked upon the corpses to find whatever they could find useful. And to clean up the mess. "Can you two hear me?" Moore asks them in a direct and serious manner as she crouches down to meet their gazes. "Being bound by rope and magic, I wish to speak. But knowing your actions. One will run and the other fights. Can’t have that." She continued. "So, hear me out. Alright?" The goblins didn't speak any language but, it seems to be communicating through growls and gestures and it seems that there isn’t any remote or hints of intelligences as your attempts of communication ended up getting a cry and the sounds of cowering to the lights that dominants the subway. The human seems to panicky but, for other reasons that you can't seem to place, but after a few seconds of trying to calm himself he nods in agreement. The train wasn't in sight. "What are you?" The man curiously asks as he looks at you and the carnage that you have bought upon. Moore takes the growls and such to consideration and instead, casts something towards the goblin. Her intent being clear that she wishes to gain information as much as she could, but fairly dislikes this method. With hand on its forehead, she begins her search. "non legere memoria, quaero" She chants and see's the memories of the goblin of how they came here, what they did and what they want to do. "That’s good enough." She says to herself before putting her hand away, and due to this spell. The goblin would find itself in a Coma. She then turns to the human and decides to talk, moving to him at walking speed. Sadly, the magic binds prevent him from moving. "Now, what am I you ask?" She says, putting her index finger on her chin and making an aloof expression. "I am Moore. A Rucier and Head tactician to the Kingdom Arceae in what you call the fantasy world." She explains, not minding whatever expression the human would have. Surely the others would have a sense of pity or humanity but, Moore is a tease and somewhat sadistic in nature. Despite being good in nature as well. The memories of the goblins offers close to no or a few trinkets of information as it shown, the ground cracking in half and waves of molten lava emerging from the ground devouring land and the homes of the goblins in one go, soon seeking for salvation the goblins climbed as fast as possible to get to the surface joining with the orcs and their large siege beast and with the sheer number they had, they flooded into the gate shattering and emerging from the other side where carnage and chaos ensured and the screams and death of the humans dominants the air. The human looks at you with a slightly akwards look blushing, "I'm Morgan Tanner." He said introducing himself to her as he looks at her with admiration, and at the same time fear as he stares at her sadistic look and personality. "I'm single." He awkwardly said lost in though. Moore would only look at him with piercing gazes as she scanned him. There were three things in her mind that she felt needed answering the most and would let him go after. A scout’s mission is to scout after all. "I didn’t ask that. I will ask what I want to know." Moore says, this did not seem important to her now as she was not one to make the concrete decisions. She stands up and paces herself back and forth. With the two behind her almost finishing. "One. WHAT are you?" "Two. What happened?" "Three. What did your people do before this incident?” She spoke clearly and firmly, with her right hand holding onto a book of sorts on the side of her waist. She seemed ready to do something. Realizing what he had just done, he quickly tries to change the subject. "I'm human." He said unsure on what to add with it. "and as you can see I do human things." he said quite blaming himself for his lame attempt to explain himself. "And to what happened?" He suddenly tries to remember what happened, and soon things like screams and yells, to soldiers getting overwhelms and lots and lots of running popped out of his head. "Um I have no Idea but, I blame those monster for what happened." he replies as he tries to sound cool for her. "And we did the unusual celebrate and party and watch what's happening with the gate in New York." he said as best as his memory can muster as running away for dear life was what he remembered doing the most in the past. Moore took these into consideration and although she noticed the very off-putting introduction, she payed no heed. But, celebrating a gate. No doubt different as to what they did. Then again, their civilization had more population than Arceae if they didn’t count the animals. Nonetheless, she had made her decision. Information collected and ready to depart since the place is infested with enemies, it would be suicide to continue further without abit more help. "Grant! Iris! We're going home to report." Moore says to the two who have just finished up. Grant had a handful of human items, no doubt from Iris who seemed to carry a sack and looking very happy. "Moore! I got a few copies just for you and Grimm. “Iris said happily, as she looked like a dog with puppy eyes and a wagging tail. Except there was no tail. "I have the originals. In case you’re wondering." Grant spoke with enlargen hands, the size of at least 6 computers with his guitar strapped to his back. "Thank you, now let’s go. Before we get flooded." Moore cuts them off and puts her hood on. A magic circle appears in front of the three. One as large as an elevator door. But complex in design. "Thanks as well Sir. Tanner. May you live." She bids farewell as Grant and Iris walkthrough, humming along to one of the songs Grant played. Moore turned and passed through after them, the circle would close in 2 seconds. "what about me?" The man said as he is still tied up. "You can't leave me here alone." He follows slightly worried and afraid of what can happen, soon the engines start slowing down suggesting that its running out of what legacy normally uses to power them up. After a few minutes the lights dim with each second and the howls and the cries of delight of the goblins can be heard all around the tunnel. He was scared to say the least as this could have been the end for the man, and not soon after he fell in love at first sight with the strange woman. "Please, take me with you." He begs Moore to bring him with her. Seeing that the thing was still open, tanner charged into it leaving the goblins behind, as the lights flicker for the last time returning the tunnel back to the darkness.
