Lol, nah. I never wanted for Rin to immediately face Sunsay's Gym cuz their levels are severely behind, so this Femaric Fan weakness is just a convenient excuse for them to get outta town without me breaking from character by not having them go headfirst into an ass-kicking at the Gym like the stubborn child they are.
Plus, Boss Balthazar said both the Gyms and the Routes have levels tailored to your current pokémon's level. So with Pokémon Whistle in hand ima bout to go catch all the sweet pokémon you missed out on and be the First of us to go check out that Landmark! >:D

Oh yeah, how exactly does the Pokémon Whistle work? Should I have Rin play a little tune and just wait for an interaction cuz it actually attracts weaker pokémon to their location, or do I just play it before going into the tall grass because it just makes it more likely the pokémon are lower level.

Also, how much weaker exactly are we talking? Does it temporarily lower the Level Cap by some specific amount?

Yeah. Simply play the whistle any time. If your next situational roll is a wild Pokemon, it's level will be weaker than normal. The normal formula is...

(Random Number + Your Strongest Pokemon's Level + Your weakest Pokemon's Level)/3

The whistle causes your weakest Pokemon's level to be used twice instead of using your strongest Pokemon's level.

It's ok IDK bout Rin but IRL I am a MTF trans person been in transition for almost five years and been preparing for the big surgery, despite all that people still sometimes use the wrong pronouns lol I am an easy going forgiving person, and Rin and myself choose two character traits that are wonky to begin with lol can't expect you to be perfect

I get misgendered every day and even the very few, trusted people I'm out to irl mess up sometimes, so I don't expect perfection from you either. I just like to use roleplay for some minor escapism where trans people don't have to worry about or shoulder stuff like misgendering or really any transphobia cuz I get enough of that awful shit irl.
