In the context of the rp, what I mean, is that Gods slowly lost their powers once the Gates to Heaven were shut. If I was a human in this world, I would know what history thought of some of those Gods, but I would only know what history says, I wouldn't know the true story. Which can be made up entirely. What I am trying to say is the gods have always meddled in human affairs. Before they were locked out, they used humanity as toys and some were just outright cruel to them. When the Gods became locked out it allowed humanity to grow and populate, while they faded from history.
