You wake up strapped to the seat of a moving vehicle. You are restrained in handcuffs and have a visor over your head and face blocking your vision. There are at least two other bodies sitting with you.
- A flash of light occurs from from the inside of your visor - and a video begins to play.
"Welcome new recruits." A smiling black man in a blue military jumpsuit beams at the camera. "Each one of you has been selected to join 'The Defiance Program' because we believe you have the skills that it takes to help save this world. When you arrive at the base my one of my assistants will get you initiated. Welcome to the team, recruit."
The visor clicks and falls to the ground allowing you to finally see your surroundings, not that there's much to be seen. You are clearly on the inside of an APC (Armored Personnel Carrier) with some others you have not met before. They seem to be just as confused with you.
Finally the vehicle comes to a stop, the restraints click off and the wide door at the back opens. Welcome to the team, recruit.

"The Defiance Project" is a military/superhero team based underneath the Streets of New York, New York.
You will be playing as the latter, superheroes. Be you a speedster, powerless vigilante or hulking brute is your choice. I'm pretty relaxed about who you play as long as they're somewhat good aligned and not god incarnate. (By which I mean no reality altering/kill auras ect.)
