With an abrupt turn, "I didn't do it Grandma!" The sandy brown haired girl pleaded with her doe eyes; the shade of honey. Her grandmother wasn't convinced, ever since magic was becoming so drained she had gotten rid of Charlize's Gauntlet quickly and banned every bit that she could from her household, it might has well be a toxin at this rate. "Don't lie to me girl!" her grandmother spoke again, sternly. Truth be told Charlize had been reading about and trying to practice magic in private in the shed for months now. Without her Gauntlet it was pretty useless, sometimes she could get a chant correct but the outcome didn't seem to be strong enough to be considered correct. Today had been different though. It didn't seem like anything special when she had woken up. She helped her grandmother make breakfast as usual, the two sat together over a hot cup of coffee to start the day off along with their oatmeal. But as the two split off from one another as they went about their own schedule, Charlize started to go back into her researching until something actually came from it. Her usual attempt at a ball of light incantation. Instead of it just being a little spark, it was a burst of light like a camera flash. "Holy!" the girl said, repeating the process as the light became more steady and became like a part of her fingertips. It was then the moment was brought to present, the women looking to one another in confusion and slight anger. Before Charlize could tell her grandmother what was going on they were met with another person. "What are you doing in my ya-" "It's urgent. " The woman interrupted the grandmother and left as fast as she came, but not before handing Charlize a letter. While her grandmother was slightly dazed, Charlize took the time to read the letter, skimming things but barely able to read the entire thing before her grandmother snatched it from her hands. The old woman read it herself before shaking her head, "Nonsense, it's all nonsense!" she yelled. The part that Charlize had mustered to read and remember was the last part. rip the letter rip the letter Quickly Charlize grabbed the letter back and ripped it promptly in half whilst her grandmother looked in shock. Before she even could get out a goodbye or receive one in return she was embraced with a light much brighter than one that had ever come from her own finger tips.
