Soul, Nerve, and Multiplication all seem like really awesome powers to me, I think you could make something really cool with one of these.
Desire, Stories, Combine, and Pointer I dont really think of any useful applications for those, though im sure you have some in mind.
As you say, the classic Pyromancy is a choice to consider, albeit cliche. Maybe a back-up if something else doesn't work out, since it's so simple.
