I've been working on the Boss and his family's sheets.  His wife is a doctor with healing abilities.  Maybe she was treating your character's mom, if you want to.  You don't have to, though.

Her name is Diana Jacobs (51, Accelerates healing/metabolism, E).  Our boss's name is Dale Jacobs (57, Speedster, MMP).  They have three kids, Greg (27, telekinetic, MMe, works for Phoenix), Sara (25, telepath, Mp), and Kyle (14, Lightning, PE).
