Taylor smirked at the text she'd sent Finley, shaking her head as she typed out another quick text to follow the last.

By the way, had you found anything interesting on your witchhunt for clues? xD
To: Finn

"I feel ya, Tay. Red Lake's in some shit, and I'm not sure we can really do shit about it. Not unless your willing to risk your own life. I'm not sure what comes next."

She quickly pocketed her phone again and looked up to meet Liv's gaze as Joey responded to what she'd said prior. Taylor bit the inside of her lip firmly. If it meant her friends were safe, she'd buck up the courage to risk her own life. She heard Liv call out to them, and almost asked 'What?', but then realized she'd actually heard what she had said. Did they wanna come in? Taylor shook her head and laughed, calling out, "Nah, we came all this way just to hang out on your lawn, Oli." she smirked and looked back at Josh. "Come on, before she has a stroke." Taylor laughed and began making her way across the lawn to Sadie to try and collect her crazy dog before heading inside.

Declan lay there patiently waiting, knowing she'd come home eventually. He wouldn't have minded if he had to have waited all night, he would have still been there. In the middle of thinking about finding a safe area to shift back to his human state to call her, he could hear her car coming up the road. His tail began to sway back and forth but he stayed where he was, hoping to get her with a surprise greeting, or maybe just see if she'd come looking for him. He watched her carefully from the side of the house as she pulled up into the driveway and parked, shutting the car off. Listening carefully, he could hear her phone vibrate as well as her unclipping her seatbelt just before she got out of her vehicle. Had he been in his human form, he would have whispered her name just loud enough for her to hear as he watched her walk up to her front door, but instead, it just came out as a low, wolfy huff.

He sat there for a moment after she walked inside, listening to her go through her house, following the noises from the side until it led him to the back of the house, which he silently slumped down and waited for her. He could hear her unlock the back door and step out into the fading light, smiling a wolfish grin. She looked around, most likely to look to check if the coast was clear. He didn't particularly care if anyone saw her "housing a wolf". Like, really? Would anyone care that much? It's not like they'd put two and two together, cause they wouldn't be watching the house the entire time. A wolf walks in and a shirtless teenage boy walks out hours later. Nah. He'd be fine. But he knew Miranda always wanted to make sure, just in case. He'd explained to her what would happen to him if the wrong people found out.

“Quick hun, it’s clear”

Declan quickly got up, still semi-crouched, and hurried along the back of the house and on inside. He curved around once out of sight from the doorway, sitting next to her and pushed his great big head against her hip, rubbing against her with his ears back and tail tucked to the side. It was weird to think it, but this felt more like home than his house or even his cousin's place did. He huffed softly and stayed there with his head against her, slowly peeking up at her with soft eyes. Even as a wolf, you could tell in his eyes that he wasn't in the best mindset, and had had a shit day.

@Morose@FantasyChic@Dragoknighte In the corner of Jenna's eye she would see Mayor Ryder standing in the corner of the room, eyeing her then towards Harry and Finley, he then finally spoke for the first time. "It was a demon who killed me." He said looking over at Jenna for a moment, then Finley started to get another vision. The room itself was very dark there weren't any windows at all, but in the center of the room she would see a pentagram and in the center of it was Riley tied down to a chair, and blindfoled and gagged. A man, he then quickly disappeared into the darkness of the room, the same man that Harry had seen around the forest near the lake was there, the vision then quickly ended.

@Infamous Auror@Damo021 Luckily no one saw the giant wolf running across the backyard of Miranda's house, and there were several thick trees that blocked the view of both of the neighboring houses so he was safe. The clock inside Miranda's kitchen read 4:35PM, and nothing at the moment interesting has popped up at her house, and all is currently peaceful. There was also the text from Olivia had sent earlier they both could come over and hangout over at Olivia's place.

"Still it may lead into the hunting world." Abe said with a slight shrug, remembering his encounter with werewolves for the first time, he barely survived after he had managed to get away from the concentration camp he was captured in. Those years Abe would never ever talk about no matter how many times someone would ask him. Abe then turned towards Heather and gave her a friendly smile when he handed her his coffee. "But yeah she is always more then welcome to spend the night at my place tonight and you girls, can do whatever it is that you girls do this day in age." Abraham said jokingly.

"Thank you." Abe said as he thought for a moment he hadn't really seen Heather in awhile, he frequented the café a lot since he moved into town. Heather would pick up small bits of Kosara and Abe's conversation. He then turned towards Heather once more as he took a sip from his coffee and leaned back somewhat. "How have you been, haven't seen you in awhile." Abraham said towards Heather and gave her a friendly smile.

Jeanna Grayson

Location: Outside of Red Lake Café
Interacting With: @BlueSky44 Lydia Weaver

"Of course." Jeanna said giving Lydia a friendly smile, once she was out Jeanna started to back out of the driveway and started to drive back over towards the newest crime scene in town. The kitten was pretty much out cold in Lydia's arms as the cat seemed to be pretty content on where it was. Once inside of the house there really wasn't much interest going on as things were pretty much peaceful, there was a voicemail on the phone which was from Jenna's father, if she chose to play it. He said that he was going to be home very late now due to the recent murder. Lydia and the kitten seemed to have the place to themselves, the kitten then started to wake up again and looked up at Lydia for a moment, it did look a bit skinny and was also pretty thirsty to.

Olivia looked towards Taylor and gave her a little smirk and rolled her eyes as she continued to play around a little bit with Sadie, before finishing up with a little game of fetch watching her running off to pick up the stick and then bringing it back over towards her. Olivia continued to listen for a little bit on their conversation, about Red Lake itself the town as far as she knew was the safest place in the world tight knit community and friendly people. But now the murder the day before and Riley going missing the week before that she really didn't want to think about what else bad could happen in the town.

She then looked towards Taylor. "Hey, I heard that i'm not going to get a stroke you two just cant keep your hands off each other I may go blind!" Olivia said sarcastically before making her way over towards her house, it was about the largest and oldest house in Red Lake itself being in the Johnson family for years since its founding. "So what can I get you guys?" Olivia asked.

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
Lake

The way that the girl described her own outburst raised a red flag for Harry. Dismissing one's own emotions as "typical teen drama" when you were a teenager as well indicated that either she had some seriously messed up emotional issues that she was suppressing (something he understood far too well), or that she was lying, and the outburst was a way to cover up something else that was going on right then. He didn't have enough information at hand to adequately estimate which was the truth, but he wasn't going to let her go so easily without finding out.

For the time being, he'd follow this conversation and follow her gaze like a hawk. People had a habit of giving away what they were really thinking with their gaze, especially if they weren't practiced in trying to conceal their emotions. The way her eyes flitted across the room indicated to him that she was looking for something else to deal with other than the conversation currently at hand. Understandable. But it could also mean she was looking for answers elsewhere. Still not enough information for him to properly interpret what he had seen and heard so far. The one thing he was certain of was that she was up to something that she wasn't telling him.

"But why were you here, in an active crime scene?" Harry asked with a quirked eyebrow. He had spent enough time in the force to know when someone being interrogated was trying to avoid talking so he outright ignored Jenna's own question. She had no real authority in this situation, he didn't need to justify himself to a teenaged intern. And he was certain that anyone who she could take this to who would have higher authority would more readily take his side over hers without some deliberate misrepresentation of the facts.

Finley Alestair

Location: Crime Scene

Finley could feel her phone vibrate in her pocket, but she was curious as to what Jenna and this random dude were going to do. Especially Jenna after her freakout. Part of Finley wanted to continue in and patch things up, but her stubbornness won out. After all, Finley wasn't in the wrong, even if her view was misguided. You trusted friends. You trusted friends until the end. That was how friendship worked. The fact Jenna couldn't see this..

Suddenly, Finley's vision blurred and she nearly fainted. The vision was rough around the edges, but she could make out one prominent figure. Riley. She was alive! She didn't look good, but she was alive. She could just make out a male figure before he disappeared and the vision ended. Finley caught her breath and rushed back outside.

She took out her phone and read the text from Taylor and stifled a snort. Yeah, she DID find out some information. However, it was best not to do so over phone messages. So she quickly sent a text to both Taylor and Declan. Jenna would just have to be left out of this for now.

-"Found out key information. Riley is alive! Need to meet up ASAP, don't care where. Declan, that includes you, so figure things out quickly."

Kosara Koleva

Location: café

“Gramps, you sound like some oldtimer going about on a rant about the youth.” Kosara snickered, jokingly and shook her head slightly.” Don't worry, I do know what I am doing, you know. Besides, it will be nice to spend the night with someone else for a change. As much as I enjoy listening to music with you.” She added and smiled.” It will be okey, Abe. Besides she is a fine young woman with a good head on her shoulders.” She was still waiting on Jenna to send the Message on where for them to pick her.

“Ahh, thank you.” She said to Heather who had taken their orders. As Abe took to chatting with the waitress girl whom Kosara recognized well enough, she pulled her notebook, scribbling down notes on spells and incantations, but the language she was writing them down on was Bulgarian, which she was pretty sure pretty much no one would get here in the states. When she was done with that, she dialed out a number to deal with something while Abe and Heather were talking. She called her publisher, confirming things such as schedules about her new book. She was a writer after all, so she did have to deal with things such as that. Luckily most of the book was done, so she can just send it to the publisher soon enough and pretend her writing time was longer. It wouldn't do good for her to give up the info that her writing process was shorter so they can make her write faster and more books. This way was waaaaay better. She got a lot of spare time and the money was enough.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Town Center

So it was a demon then - and Jenna hoped that he wasn't being metaphorical about his words. If he was, then there was still a chance that Declan was somehow made to kill the Mayor. Yet she wanted this explanation to be true - that Mayor Ryder had messed with forces he could not control and that those same forces had killed him. Anything beyond that would implicate her friend. And while she was willing to consider Declan as a suspect, that didn't mean she didn't trust him. She wanted to believe that Declan couldn't have done this, but detective work wasn't about trust and belief - it was about facts and logic. Even if it meant she lost her friends along the way.

Jenna quickly shot a reply back to Kosara, telling her that she'd be at town center, before she glanced back up at the private investigator. She could hardly blame him for his questions - they were the right ones to ask. "Like I said, I intern for the police. They asked me to come back here and make sure all of the evidence had been bagged and tagged - making sure nothing was left behind," she lied. She didn't want to stay in this conversation any longer than she had to. She figured worst case scenario was she played the parents didn't tell me I was adopted card. It tended to work.

"If you're looking for leads on Riley, there's nothing here," Jenna then added. "The police department here is a bit incompetent but...There's nothing left. No clues. No evidence." She let her voice crack towards the end. "She's...She's just gone. She's dead, isn't she?"

Lydia Weaver

Location: Her house
Interacting With: No one

She watched Jeanna drive away, before walking inside. The house was empty, so she was alone with the small kitten. It looked like it needed food, and after the day they had had, she couldn't blame him. Lydia pulled out a small bowl from the cabinet, and put some water in it, setting it on the ground so he could drink. She started looking around to see there was anything they had that the kitten could eat.

Looking around, eventually she found something that could probably work, and set it down on the floor next to the water bowl. She walked over to the phone, and played the message that was waiting on it. So, her uncle wasn't going to be home until late, and who knew where Jenna was. Looks like she was going to have the house to herself for a while. There wasn't much she could do except wait for people to show up. Once the kitten was done eating, she picked him back up again and went up to her room, setting the kitten on her bed, before laying down on it. It had not been the best day.

"Oh, you didn't hear." Heather's grief washes over her. "My mother passed. I was back west for her last days and funeral." She sort of listens to Kosara's conversation, but only hearing half of it makes it difficult. "She had cancer, but it was aggressive, and she went quicker than anticipated."

The bell rings and Heather excuses herself to get their food. Returning a few minutes later with their meals.

Miranda Burke

Location: heading home/ At Miranda’s home.Interacting with: Declan @infamous Auror

It did not take long for Miranda to spot Declan as he hurried across her backyard into her home, the sun was still slowly setting, it looked beautiful. Fortunately for them both it appeared no one saw her allowing a big wolfie into her house, mainly because of the tree line around the back garden tended to some solid privacy and the fact it made the garden look nice. Once Declan had rounded the door Miranda could feel him push his big wolfie head against her hip and rub against her, she couldn’t help but smile and blush a little only because it was Declan, but it reminded her to promptly shut the back door and lock it up.

When he huffed it got Miranda’s full attention immediately, it still felt weird seeing Declan in his wolf form, although to her, in her mind it did hold some… Perks when he had to revolve back to human form. Her soft blue eyes locked with his own eyes, like a soft innocence looking back down at him, her smiled was still there but she could tell from his that something was not right and off, she knew him long enough to know when something went didn’t go all too well for him. It appeared that maybe both have had a bad day.

Letting out a deep breath for a moment Miranda knelt down to him, more eye level for his current form, where others would probably feel fear being this close to a werewolf, Miri felt safe with him around. Gently for a few moments Miri softly stroked his head and round behind his ears, giving him that reassuring look she would give him, she had also noticed and looked at his muddy paws. “Whatever it is we’ll talk about it okay; I can tell something has happened to you.”

She paused a moment before standing up and looking back down at his puppy like eyes. “I can’t speak wolf though hun, so your going have to shift for me big guy and see what we can do about your clothes, see if there is anything spare for you.” Miri’s smile did perk back up, she was not going to lie, her heart often did skip a beat when he changed…. And she never complained about the view after either , even if makes her blush, it’ not like she has seen it all before.

Taylor

Taylor smirked at Olivia and shook her head, tapping Sadie behind the ear to tell her to follow. Sadie did just so, staying on Taylor's heels as she walked with Josh into Olivia's home. It was huge. Something Taylor would most likely never own in her lifetime. As she stepped inside and passed Oli, she gave her a nurse with her shoulder. "Hey, your best friend text me. Says she misses you." She laughed, knowing all too well how much her and Finley loved each other. She never quite got why, though.

She received another text, then. A group text. Finley, Declan and herself. Wait.. Finley and Declan were together earlier... Maybe.. he was still with her? Taylor typed out a quick reply.

Hey, Dick still with you?
To: Finn

Declan

Declan let out a deep sigh to Miranda's suggestion that he'd have to shift into his human form. Part of him didn't really want to shift back. To have to re explain what happened earlier, right now, just wasn't something he wanted to do. Regardless, Declan knew he'd have to. Slowly, he dropped his jeans from his mouth and saw his phone come crumbling out of his pocket, hearing it vibrate. It was a call, and he recognised the ringtone. Jenna, his girlfriend. He whined a few times as he forced himself into the change. He'd miss the call, but he could call her back no problem.

It took a few long, agonizing minutes before he was able to switch back to his human form. He didn't even flinch at the fact he was barely naked before Miranda, she had seen it before. There was no rush in getting his jeans on, he immediately grabbed his phone and dialed Jenna's number. His phone screen may have been broken and useless, but when you knew someone's number by heart, it didn't really matter, did it?

The phone seemed to ring forever. Finally, she picked up. Or so he thought. A young man's voice answered on the other end. Declan sat silently with confusion. Jenna didn't have a brother. Who the f-.

"Um, where's Jenna? Can I talk to h-" the guy cut him off mid-sentence.

"Dude, this is pathetic. She's with me now. She called you to let you go. Even left a voicemail. Grow a pair and grow up, bud. She doesn't want you anymore." Declan could hear her talking in hushed whispers in the back, causing Declan's chest to tighten. Whether in heartache or anger, he wasnt sure.

"How long." Declan demanded. It came out in almost a snarl. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

This time, it was her. Sounding almost remorseful. "Goodbye Declan. Please don't text or call me, anymore." Click!

Declan stood there with the phone still against his ear for a few silent moments, wanting to throw the thing as hard as he could against the wall. He had to remind himself he was in Miranda's home, and settled for simply crushing the phone right in his hand.

"I uh- heh." Declan let out an emotionless laugh. He didn't even know what to say at this point. "I've really missed you lately. I'm sorry for being MIA.. Just been dealing with a lot of bullshit." Declan remained with his back to Miranda, now slightly embarrassed he was still naked. He wasn't only stripped emotionally, but.. entirely. "Can you, uh-" He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly and looked over his shoulder at her. "Can you bring me my pants, please, Mir?"

@Morose@FantasyChic@Dragoknighte While Finley was outside of the town hall, she would get the notification that the text to Declan didn't go through. Finley would still be able to hear small bits of the conversation between Harry and Jenna, the particular part of Jenna asking whether or not Riley was alive or not. What Jenna said about there not being evidence being in the town hall was good, there wasn't that much left. Aside from the very old maps that were in the library section of the building, all the evidence was now in the sheriff's department just across the street from the town hall itself. Jenna would still see Mayor Ryder in the corner of her eye moving over towards the other side of the room. "Check the security footage, the deputies have the computer that was hooked up there." He said before disappearing again.

@Infamous Auror@Damo021 There still wasn't much that was going on at Miranda's house, the sun was starting to set now, casting a reddish hue in the room. Miranda would obviously see that something was bothering Declan, and she would see the slight burns that were healing now.

@BlueSky44 The kitten instantly mewed loudly when there was food and quickly started to dig in and started to eat the food that Lydia had given it. Purring slightly as it also went to the water and started to drink it right away, while Lydia went to check the phone messages the kitten was still busy eating. The house itself was getting pretty quiet as Lydia heard Jeanna's car pulling out and drove away as well. When Lydia lifted the kitten up and headed to her room it didn't seem to want to settle down and just trotted off to explore on it's own.

Heather would be able to easily see what Kosara was writing on her notebook, but it looked like it was just a bunch of jibberish to her unless she knew Bulgarian. Abe looked towards her for a moment and gently patted her on the arm, he did genuinely bad for bringing it all up, knowing that loosing someone was never an easy thing at all. When Heather left to go grab their food Abraham turned his attention back towards Kosara. "Well of course i'm old, and will rant about you youngins all the time." He said as he went to take a drink of his coffee and leaned back in his seat.

When Heather came back with their food he smiled at her as he dug into his pocket and handed her about twenty dollars to tip her and gave her a friendly smile. "Really sorry for your loss, if you want someone to talk to your more then welcome to." Abe said towards the young woman as the bowl of soup was set down before him, he quickly went forward and started to eat it. "After we eat, we gonna go and pick her up and head over to our place." He said towards Kosara.

When Olivia entered her house she closed the door shortly behind her once Taylor and Josh entered her house, as they walked past the foyer and headed into her kitchen. She felt Taylor's hand on her shoulder she turned her head when Taylor teased about her best friend, Olivia simply rolled her eyes and scoffed. She and Finley absolutely never got along well with one another, it went as far enough at work that they were forced to not work the same shifts together, unless they didn't have enough people to work.

"Yeah she's totally my best friend." Olivia said sarcastically as she looked towards the text, seeing what was texted between her, Taylor and Declan. She wasn't sure if Finley was being serious or not about it, but it was a possible lead to find out what happened to Riley and if she was alive or not. As much as Olivia really didn't want Finley over at her place, if there was a lead to find Riley she was willing to let the woman over. "If the text is correct, tell her to come over." Olivia said softly before heading into the kitchen and started to fix herself a drink.

"So if I have your story as you've put it correctly, the police force asked you, a presumably unpaid teenage intern, to go to the active scene of the most violent crime to occur in this town, at least in recent history, to collect all the evidence, of which there is none and not make a mess of it, either intentionally or not. And while you were alone in this empty room, 'Typical Adolescent Drama' caused you to scream, shout, kick a hole in the wall and end up crying on the floor." Harry had seen his share of incompetent police forces, but if this girl's story was correct, then there were major signs of criminal negligence at best going on in this town. That is, if her story was true at all. He held himself back from putting it as outlandishly as he could imagine, but the tale as Jenna had stated had a lot of information that didn't add up.

"Who specifically asked you to come here and collect the evidence by the way? I'm sure if I gave the office a quick call I could get this all verified and you could go on your way." Perhaps he was putting too much pressure on a girl who had obviously just been through a lot emotionally, but her behavior was too suspicious for him to rule out that she had been tampering with the scene. Despite the fact that Riley and the Mayor's cases were almost certainly related, they were two separate cases. However, even if they were entirely unrelated, the former cop in him couldn't stand to see the process and by extension Justice interfered with. So he'd keep digging in the conversation until he was satisfied, or it reached a point where nothing more could be learned.

"Thank you very much," Heather said pocketing the tip. She appreciated his words of comfort more than the tip, but it would help pay a bill she might not have been able to otherwise. Heather went back to the other customers. When she got a break, she made herself a cup of tea, a calming one with Chamomile. It did help being at work she paid more attention to getting things done than to what her heart ached over.

She realized as she sipped her tea that that was what the Walker family must be going through as well. Heather felt a need to do something for them, but the best she could do was make food or tea. Maybe if they needed someone to pull weeds, she could help them in that sort of way. Heather decided that tomorrow she would go to the b&b and offer her help.

"Awee... act as grumpy as you want, I still know you enjoy us all youngsters running about, doing youngers stuff and causing a mess of the place." She smirked with a self pleased expression, drinking her drink, scribbling in her notebook and generally have a jolly good time until the food arrived." Thank you, Heather." She told the waitress and started munching down the sandwich as it was mighty fine time for a meal. It's been more or less a whole day without eating anything so far.

"Roger that, she just texted ot pick her from the town's center." Kosara informed Abe, and bit into her food with pleased expression, before chewing hastely and swallowing." It's gona take a little while to finish the meal... well your meal." She smiled." I can bring my sandwich on the road~!" Kosara added and slid a page, she just tore away, to Abe. It had a real basic list of ingredients for a tracking spell." This should do the trick... if we get something to focus onto her. Well at worst we will learn if she's still alive." She whispered." Once we pick Jenna, you can leave us at home while you pick these up?"

Finley Alestair

Location: Crime Scene

Finley could hear small bits of conversation between Jenna and the private detective and what she heard she didn't like. Jenna asked if Riley was alive or not and Finley knew she was, but how long that would last she had no clue. The detective seemed to be applying what pressure he could to get info out of Jenna and, based on recent events, Fin;ey wasn't sure if Jenna would be able to hold it together.

That wasn't her problem though. Finley had some information and she needed more. Riley was alive. She needed to get people together to find her. She took out her phone and read the text from Taylor. Declan didn't get his, which concerned her. Now she had to find him too. She sent a quick message off to Taylor.

"He was with me. Now I don't know where he is. Regardless, I know about him and I bet you know what I am talking about. Regardless, Riley is alive and I need more information. When you are free, let's meet up. I'm gonna see if I can find Declan."

Finley put her phone away and debated if she would leave Jenna to fend for herself or help her. She opted to let Jenna sort out her own issues. She made her way towards the police station to find out what she needed.

This kitten was an interesting one that was for sure, though it was young, so it probably had a lot of energy. The little thing was amusing to watch as he wandered around. He was in a new area, so it made sense for him to explore, cats were generally curious by nature. It made her smile as she watched him wander around the room. Lydia grabbed some spare blank music sheets that she kept lying around, and started humming as she went through a melody in her head. That was usually how things went when she needed to calm down, or if she was ever bored. Her current scenario fit in both categories, so she just started writing in the music notes. The words came later, after she had the basic melody.

After a few moments of filling in music notes, Lydia found herself relaxing, getting away from what all had happened during the day. Her mind started to wander away from the music, and then it wandered to one question. Where was the kitten now? She looked away from the paper in her hands, and started looking around. The thing couldn't have gone too far, so she started looking around, trying to find the little guy, and hopefully he wasn't getting into too much trouble.

Location: Town Center

Jenna had to keep herself from nodding at the ghost. She already seemed suspicious to the private investigator and she didn't need to be nodding at things he couldn't see. The security footage, then - it was something she'd want to take a look at anyways. Maybe it would show the demon or better yet, the person that had brought on the demon. Someone had to have used the book to control it, right? And she doubted Mayor Ryder had been stupid enough to set a demon on himself. He was thick, but he wasn't that thick. Her eyes flickered back over to the private investigator.

C'mon, Jenna. Sell it. "Detective Westbrook," Jenna answered, her voice cracking again. It wasn't hard to sound emotional when speaking about her adoptive father - a man who just so happened to work at the station. She wiped her eyes on her sleeve, blinking back the tears that were flowing all too easily. It was only partially an act. She really did have a lot of emotional turmoil at the moment, making it easier for her to cry on command, as she really did have something to cry about. "Look, he's my father and I just found I was adopted, and then my best friend vanishes and then this bloody shit...So when they asked me to check that all of the evidence was removed, it just all hit me and it was too fucking much to deal with. So yeah, typical teenage bullshit drama, right?"

"And because of all of this, I pissed off my best friend over a misunderstanding, just because I wanted to help him and he thought I was betraying him. If you really think I did something then...Yeah, go ahead and call Detective Westbrook. Maybe he won't lie to you for seventeen years of your life." She let out a deep breath and dried her eyes again. She hesitated for a moment, before turning and walking towards the exit. She doubted the investigator would try to physical keep her there.

Miranda Burke

Location: heading home/ At Miranda’s home.Interacting with: Declan @infamous Auror

It was kind of gut wrenching to see as Declan was going into the process of changing back, in fact, it made Miri guilty and bad for asking him to change, it was a painful secret for him to keep and she is forever thankful in trusting her with what he is. During this time his phone was going off as it fell out of the pocket of his pants, it was heavily damaged and couldn’t make out who was calling him, just what has been going on with him today? Once he was changed there was a slight smile at the sight of him but it wavered a little as she was worried about him as he scrambled to his damaged phone.

Miri remained silent watching Dec as he made a phone call, it wasn’t clear who it was until he spoke, only able to hear one half of the conversation. He was phoning Jenna, his girlfriend, however something also sound of there with the way Declan was with his responses, something was definitely up, was there an argument or breakup she was unaware of? She kind of felt like Declan was on edge, even before the phone call and Miranda had no idea just what was going on or bothering and was mentally kicking herself for not being there for him. She covered her mouth a bit with one hand when she watches him crush his phone in his hands… That was when she noticed the slight burns on his hands, what had he done and where had he been? She needed answers if she was even going to have a snowballs chance of being able to help even if it was just to listen or something.

Miranda took a few moments listening to him, she felt like there was a fake laugh from him as he explained very little at that point, she didn’t even notice she was staring at him the whole time he had his back to her before she snapped out of it. “Dec I… I have missed you to a lot, I have been worried about you, if anything I should be sorry for not being here for you” She replied as she went over and got his pants and then making her way back over to him. It often made her laugh if the amount of times she was asked to bring him pants, but this was not such an occasion to do so.

Once she was right behind him she gently placed her left hand onto his back, wanting to comfort him as she used the other hand to pass his pants round to him. “You know I am always here for you right? what’s happened to you Dec? you have crushed your phone and I see the burn marks. where have you been?” she had more questions to ask but she was worried it she would overwhelm him and instead would settle for whatever he felt he needed to tell her.

Miri then rested her soft hands gently on his shoulders, rubbing them slightly. “I am going to get us a couple of drinks from the fridge, you get your pants on, and then I am all yours okay? Miri really hoped she could be of help for him with whatever is bothering him, something told her it was more than just what happened on the phone with Jenna. Waiting a moment Miranda, the room was filling with a reddish hue from the sun setting before she made her way of to the kitchen to get some drinks from the fridge, deciding not to bother with making a hot drink now, she opened the fridge door and pulled out a beer for Declan, and a strawberry and lime cider for herself as she closed the door and proceeded to open the bottles. After a few minutes, Miranda had made her way back into the living room with the bottles in hand and offered the beer to Declan. Offering a soft smile. “Now, you are going to tell me all about this bullshit you are going through.” She took a seat on the sofa, tucking her lugs underneath herself as she did, her blue eyes watching Declan.

Taylor
@Nallore @FantasyChic

Olivia's response nearly floored her. She was genuinely inviting Finley over. Then again, if it meant bringing Riley back, she's probably work with the Devil himself. Taylor knew this was important to her. Modding simply, she began typing out a new message but could hardly finish it before she received another from Finley. It had Taylor turning ghost white. How does she know about him?

It didn't cross Taylor's mind for a second that Declan may have ratted her out as well. She knew her cousin better than that, and knew he was good for keeping secrets. But the questions remained. Did he tell her? Was she in the wrong place at the wrong time? Who else knew? What was Finley going to do with this information?! Once the question flew through Taylor's mind and she had a moment to process the other thing Finley mentioned, she tapped out a text really quick before turning her phone over to Olivia to read for herself. "Guess our girl's alright."

[[ To Finley:
I know this is asking a lot, but come over to Oli's. Dec will turn up eventually. He doesn't roam very far or for very long..and if he's hiding, you won't find him unless he wants you to. Trust me. ]]

Declan
@Damo021

When Miranda came around with his pants, he gently took them. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end and he got goosebumps the second Miri placed her hand on his back. He blushed softly and quickly pulled his pants on. Something about her always seemed to calm him down. Whether it was his feelings for her or the fact that she was just a very calm person in general. Declan looked over his other shoulder to meet her gaze with a soft half-size, shaking his head.

"No worries, Mir. It's okay. You're part of the adult world, now. I'm still stuck in school. With Lacrosse and Baseball, plus all the school drama? It's enough to keep this beast at bay and out of touch. Don't blame yourself." He half laughed at calling himself a beast. Closing the distance between them, he firmly wrapped her up in a hug and rest his cheek on the top of her head as he did. "Thank you, Mir. I really appreciate you being here and being one of three people I can count on to back me up."

Her questions made him realize just how NOT ready he was to talk about everything. But he would, because Miranda usually knew a way to help him. He let her go and watched her walk to the kitchen, smirking a bit. He couldn't help but really look at her as she walked. A part of Declan still felt guilty for doing it, as if he still had someone to be loyal to, but then it hit him again and he shook his head of the fresh memory. He realized then that he was alone in the room. Declan sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair, looking out the window to see the sun slowly setting. It was beautiful.

Before Declan had a chance to really do anything but stare out the window, Miranda was back in the room with a beer and a drink for herself. He wished she had something a little stronger than beer, but knew she wouldn't stand for him getting drunk. Especially under her roof. Declan took the beer with a soft smile in return and mumbled a 'thank you' before taking a seat beside her on the couch.

Declan took a long swig of his beer before hunching over, his arms laying over his thighs, head hanging low. He chewed on the inside of his lip a moment before beginning. "Finley and Je-.." His heart clenched at the start of that name, causing him to try that sentence again. "Fin and Gwen know. I had no choice but to tell them. It goes along with the story of how I got the burns." He took a hand off the bottle and overturned it, holding it out for Miranda to see for herself.

"We were trying to find Gwen. She was supposed to meet up with us, and somehow ended up in the mine where she got hurt. Finley and I finally found her. Finley couldn't have done it alone, so I had to go inside and get Gwen. But the silver.." Declan shook his head and retracted his hand, wrapping it around the bottle again. "I tried saving her, but the silver really got to me and I passed out. They ended up having to drag me out of there. Once I came to, Gwen started drilling me with questions, then Finley too. They weren't gonna let up, nor let me go without chaperoning me to the hospital. I had to tell them. And Gwen.."

Declan grit his teeth then and let out a low growl in the back of his throat, a kind of growl no mere human was capable of. "Gwen had the fucking nerve to ask me if I was the one who murdered the Mayor. Like, seriously? How could sh-.." His voice drifted off, then. Thoughts raced through his mind after that, unable to say anything else at that point. He wanted to cry, again. Not because he was sad, though he was, he would have cried out in anger. It was something Declan was good at.

@Morose@Dragoknighte As Jenna started to leave she would see Mayor Ryder moving alongside her, looking over his shoulder at the PI as Jenna made her way towards the exit. "He seems like a friendly fellow." He said towards Jenna, as he moved towards the exit with her he seemed to be more chatty now then he was earlier in the day. Harry really wouldn't have much to go on other then calling Jenna's adoptive father to confirm the information that Jenna had just given him, he'd have to try and get in contact with him somehow to find more info on if Jenna was allowed to go into the town hall or not. There isn't much information other then the library wing of the building, on more of the towns history however.

@FantasyChic When Finley entered the police station there were about five deputies that were in the room, one of them a young woman in her twenties as at the receptionist desk. She looked up at Finley and gave her a slight smile before putting her things away and leaned forward. "Is there anything I can help you with?" She asked, the other deputies in the room beyond that were a their desks working on paper work among other things, she would get Taylor's text rather quickly, since Finley didn't work at the police station they just wouldn't let her roam freely around the inside of the building unless you worked there or had some kind of official business there.

@Infamous Auror@Damo021 Miranda's house so far has been pretty quiet, nothing big has happened as the two sat down on the couch in the living room. They could always go over to Olivia's place as well, to see how they were doing over at her place.

@BlueSky44 As Lydia got up and started to search around the house for the kitten, she would hear a sudden loud crashing sound when she came into the kitchen of the room she would see a boy around the age of seven or so climbing up onto the island in the kitchen, the kitten itself wasn't anywhere to be seen at all, when the kid turned his head to look at Lydia he would quickly shift into the kitten that she'd been carrying around all day knocking down whatever there was on the counter as he ran off under the couch in the living room.

Abraham Serafin

Location: Outside town hall where the crime scene was.
Interacting With: @rivaan Kosara Koleva & @Kirah Heather Ali

Abraham looked towards Heather and gave her a friendly smile and nod. "Don't mention it." Abe said as he started to eat his soup, then looked over towards his niece and shook his head slightly as Kosara spoke. He reached over as she handed him the note of ingredients that were there for a moment then looked at her and nodded. "Will do." Abe said as he quickly started to finish up his soup and started to drink from the bowl until he was finished up with his soup. "I finish soups rather quickly." He said before reaching for his cane and stood up setting down the money for their food. "Shall we head over towards town hall then?" Abe asked as he started to make his way towards the exit of the café.

Heather's boss came out from the back of the kitchen looking over towards Heather for a moment and gave her a slight smile. "Your free to go early if you wish, gonna be closing up early today." He said towards her, Abe and Kosara were the last few customers there were a few more in the café but they were finishing up their meals and drinks as well, and were leaving as well.

Olivia Johnson

Location: Olivia's house
Interacting With: @Infamous Auror Taylor Evers

Olivia reached into the fridge and pulled out a soda for Taylor as she noticed her friend looking pale for a moment when she was reading the text which made her raise an eyebrow slightly. "What is it Taylor?" Olivia asked when Taylor showed her the text she was surprised to see that Finley had actually found out that Declan was a werewolf, just like herself and Taylor as well. She trusted Declan, but it was most likely that he turned in front of her or something like that.

But when she read the text the most interesting bit was that Finley somehow knew that Riley was still alive, but she wasn't 100% sure that she'd believe her or not yet. They didn't really have the most connection to each other and they usually did butt heads while they worked together as well. "Think that Declan told her, about you know us?" Olivia asked looking towards Taylor for a moment Olivia never told anyone other then Declan and Taylor they were the only people she trusted about her secret.
