Necrosis cannot heal naturally, because the cells affected literally die. With that in mind, damage caused by Azhar needs to be treated medically. Though, he cannot infect someone with a dormant virus as his powers are essentially the Energy kind. It would be too OP.

His powers are kind of like fire. Instead of burning exposed tissue, it rots it. This might develop further but for now, I am satisfied with a simpler approach.
