When Dani suggested the park, the Doctor dabbled with the idea. He needed to figure out what was going on here, Travarians never travelled alone which meant there was most likely more nearby. But he also knew Dani would probably want some answers, so he nodded in response. As he nodded, he noticed his ripped suit that was exposing an area of his thin stomach.

"Actually, perhaps the hotel would be best," The Doctor commented. He looked up towards the young girl. "But before we go, we need to make sure that this building is locked. No one gets in, until I figure out what's going on."

"I could say that while working some methane or maybe amonia got into the building. But they might send in a gas team to check that out. Or that we gotten broken into while I was working. And that only I would know what was taken and for no one to get in and mess with the evidence. But I'm not entirely sure that would work for long neither. It depends on how much time you think we need." Dani answered the Doctor a thoughtful look on her face as she turned her head towards him to determine what he thought about her suggestions. She took off the bulky sweatshirt she had on that day unzipping it and handing it to him automatically. "Here the air must be a bit chilly." She said worriedly. She should totally get to work on that suit of his. And maybe offer him something to eat. He was thin and to her that wasn't a good sign. "Did you eat yet?" She then blushes and twirled a finger through her hair in a bit of a nervous habit. She could ask once they got to the hotel for room service. That would work out well for her, as she hasn't noticed with all this excitement but she hasn't eaten since four in the evening and she needed something in her stomach before going to sleep even if it was something small. That and she wanted to make sure he would be okay, strangely. But it being a strange evening she didn't put much thought on her concern for the Doctor.

The Doctor listened to Dani's idea, but something tugged in the back of his mind. Sniffing the air, trying to ignore the stench of rubbish, he concluded that the day was Saturday. That meant tomorrow was Sunday. He had a day before the building would be fully open again. A day to figure out what was going on.

"We'd perhaps better just leave, it's locked already and the sooner that Travarian looses our scent the better." The Doctor explained to Dani. She suddenly offered him her sweatshirt, but he gently declined the offer by putting his hands up. His Time Lord immune system was keeping him warm enough. He glanced over to her, noticing her warm features. "We'd better get to this hotel of yours."

The Doctor looked down the alley towards the dimply lit street and he sniffed the air once again. 2:30 am, hopefully not too many people around. "Know any good taxi services around here?"

Dani followed the Doctor keeping the jacket in her hands as she had been quite warm until now and the...she looked at the clock on her wrist, early morning air felt good to the quickly descending from awareness to the land of unconsciousness girl. She pulled out the phone from the jacket and thought about it a moment or two. "A taxi cab service up and running at two thirty in the morning? I am sure there is a long running one. But to make an unbooked one is illegal. Or is it to take one?" She asked rubbing her eyes the adrenaline fading from her system. "Or I could see if Sean is awake. Sean's a friend or mine who moved with me here as his family lives here too. He's a night owl." She informs the Doctor with a smile. "If we book a cab it could get here within maybe a half hour or so. And if I call Sean, he'll take no more than fifteen to get here and five or so minutes to get to the hotel." She said doing the math even while half asleep.

"Yeah perhapst the cab idea was a bit stupid." The Doctor said. "Sometimes I forget little things like that, I need a bigger head to process it all."

Dani then proceeded to pull out her phone and explain about a friend of hers, which the Doctor thought to be a rather good idea once she had finished.

"Well, this Sean sounds like our best bet then, as long as he doesn't mind." The Doctor added politely with a grin.

Dani was about to call him when her phone rang with his number showing up. "Oh right I did tell him I was working late." She murmurs answering it. "Hey were your ears ringing? I was just talking about you. Where are you?" She asked.
"Five minutes away and no. Were you saying good things about me?" Sean asks with a teasing note in his voice.
"Hmm. Nah just started to talk really. But listen I need you to take me and a coworker to a hotel? I would appreciate it and no further comments about it." She said in a stern tone. She knew his head was living in the gutter.
"Aw man. And I had several pop in my head. But sure I can get you there. Have I met this coworker of yours?" Crap what a question to ask.
"Nope, just started working a few days ago." She said having thought for a few seconds on what to say. "I will see you in a few moments then." She said and hung up. "He should be here soon. Is there a name.I can use for you? I'm sure just 'Doctor' won't cut it with most people." She asked the Doctor curiously.

The Doctor stood quietly whilst Dani spoke on the phone to her friend. By the sounds of things, they sounded rather close, the Time Lord easily picking up the vibes coming from the young girl. He liked Dani. He never was usually a bad judge of character, so he knew he could trust her. He waited until she was finished speaking to him and put her phone away, to which she turned to look at him.

"He should be here soon. Is there a name I can use for you? I'm sure just 'Doctor' won't cut it with most people."

"Urm, John Smith, just John Smith." The Doctor replied simply. He had noticed that the alien inside the storage room had stopped making a fuss and had gone eerily quiet. But he knew that the Travarian's weren't a very persistent lot. They usually just killed on the spot, not being one for hunters. But just to be sure, he quickly pulled out his sonic screwdriver and did a quick scan of the area. Nothing.

Dani rose an eyebrow and giggles softly. "Alright mister world explorer. I shall use that then." She said. There weren't that many John Smith's that she had met in her life and she only read about one, the one that went to America, and met Pocahontas. She saw him pull that sonic device that scans areas and wonders where he got it. That would be a splendid thing to have around. Just in case she ran into a lock she needed to get into or to know if there was danger around. That must have saved his life more often then not. Her head turned when she heard a car and went toward the sound opening the door of the car turning. "Well come on then John." She said with a smile out of instinct placing her hand on his and went inside the car in the backseat. "John, this is my friend Sean. Sean this is my co-worker John Smith. Now that we know each other get going. I'm not going to last much longer on my caffeine rush." She said and as the door closed signifying the Doctor got in the car, Sean drove off towards the hotel.
"It's nice to meet you." Sean said looking at John every now and again. Sean wouldn't know why, but John Smith was putting a faded red flag to appear in his head. He had no clue about where it was coming from though so ignored it. "What happened with your glasses Dani?"
"I must have left them on the desk. I'll worry about them later. Besides I can't very well fall asleep with them on." Dani said with a wave of her hand and he bought that. Dani was often forgetful when she was rushing to or from a place. And as Dani predicted he got them to the hotel within five minutes as there was very little morning traffic this early.
"I'll see you soon alright?" Dani asked getting out of the car and to the outside of the hotel.

Thankfully, the sonic screwdriver picked up no other strange alien signals around them, so the Time Lord simply placed his tool back in his pocket and smiled up at Dani. No sooner had he smiled at her did the sound of a car engine approach, and the Doctor's eyes focused upon the vehicle that stopped at the end of the street. Dani took his hand, which he didn't object to and entered the car with her. His tall frame had trouble fitting into the car, and he had to duck his head and scrunch up his long legs in order to fit. Dani introduced her friend Sean, and the Doctor merely glanced towards him and smiled. "Nice to meet you."

The journey was relatively quiet, Dani and Sean sharing some topics of conversation but it wasn't very lively. But who could blame them, They were human, and it was early morning after all. Soon enough, the car screeched to a halt outside what must have been the hotel.

"Thank you, Sean." The Doctor said to the young boy as he not so delicately exited the car, stretching as he stood on the pavement outside the hotel doors. He waited for Dani and Sean to say their goodbyes.

Dani waved and sighs rubbing her temples a bit. "Well, if I'm going to stay up for a few more hours getting some answers, I'm going to need some strong coffee. Hopefully they wont mind." Since people did work this early. Who would be so stupid to work this early? I mean I'm awake, but I have been for hours. Speaking of, I'll totally either need some coffee or five hours of rest. The thoughts swirled in her head. She was doing a good job at walking through the hotel doors but she knew she would only deteriorate after a few moments. She walked through the lobby not at all looking at anything but the check in place her eyes squinting in able to at least make out faces. She once more cursed herself for allowing her eyesight to become that bad. Well it could have been worse, she could be legally blind from birth. "We'll need it today right?" She confirmed looking up at the Doctor finding that a whole lot easier to do since he was so close. Still he was taller than her, and she could tell only blurs around his face under the light of the hotel room. Which was already giving her a worse headache. It was either the lights or the fact she hasn't had real sustenance for hours, either way she was getting irritated. And if it was one rule that her family and close friends knew, was that if she was hungry and irritated just give her some food, and she'll be fine.

The Doctor followed Dani through the hotel doors, leading to a well furbished lobby area with only a few souls wandering around the area. He hugged his coat around his frame, remembering that it ripped and would look rather odd if someone saw it. Well, the least they would think is that he had a strange sense of fashion.

Looking over to Dani, the Time Lord could sense that she was weary and worn out, so he decided to make things easier for the young girl. Walking up to the lobby desk, greeted by another female youth, he rummaged through his coat pocket and pulled out his psychic paper.

"Hello, this may seem rather strange since its so late but I'm the Doctor and this is my plus one, Dani," The Doctor started, holding up the wallet so it was directly in front of the woman's face, "We're here as inspectors and I believe that means we are entitled to the best suite you have to offer. Oh and just between you and me, I usually give higher marks for hotels that bring me coffee, too." He added quietly, giving the youth a wink as he put his psychic paper back into his coat. The girl behind the desk stood up affermitaly and nodded at the Time Lord.

"Right away, Sir." She said, reaching behind her to collect a set of keys. She turned and handed them back to the Doctor. "Room 34, top floor. Do you have anything you need assistance with, Sir? You're bags, perhaps?"

"Oh no, no bags, just us." The Doctor replied with an official smile. "Just make sure those coffee's are in our rooms within 10 minutes, okay?"

"No problem, Sir, please enjoy your stay."

And with that, the Doctor turned back towards Dani, an accomplished look on his face. "Works every time, that does."

Dani rose an eyebrow at him. "That...was surprisingly easy. What is that or is that just another thing I'm going to have to wait for? And by god that's actually quite fascinating." It seemed that she got some life in her in that moment as she considered what that had been. Her mind whirled over possibilities and then it seemed to fit into place. "Is that something along the sonic screwdriver? Only this time it tells people exactly what you want it to?" She asked as they rode in the elevator to the best suite in the hotel. "And don't worry when I'm finished with the jacket, you'll never know its been ripped." She vowed taking out the pieces and placing them in her sweatshirt where she also had an emergency sewing kit. And they said she'd never use it. She scoffs softly.

"Whatever this turns out to be, its certainly going to be very fun to be a part of." Dani said with a bright smile once more going to push up glasses that weren't there. She had to quit that automatic habit. Oh well, it was now a part of her she supposed. She was curious about him. Why he only called himself "The Doctor" and what sort of past he had. So she did what she did best, studying people, doing her best to determine with bad eyesight just what kind of life he led. She stopped as she looked as well as she could into his eyes. There was enjoyment there. Yet underneath it as if just hiding there was sadness. Like he had just lost something or someone important. She thought about it for a moment doing her best to try and figure it out. "Hmm. That is interesting." She said and decided, if he wanted to tell her, she would know in due time.

The Doctor chuckled lightly at Dani's fascination as they both boarded the elevator and headed up towards their room. "I'll tell you whatever you want to know over that cup of coffee." The Time Lord replied simply, watching the light of each level slip by until eventually, the lift let out a 'bing' and the doors opened. He stepped out and looked left and right, and instantly spotted their allocated room.

"After you," He motioned to Dani with a smile.

"What a gentleman." Dani teases a bit as she took the room card from the Doctor and swiped it getting in the room and sitting on the comfortable couch. "Coffee sounds perfect. Especially with creme and sugar. Although it might not help long." She said stretching out to get the knots from her back out. She knew she was pretty there at her limits to being awake. She wasn't too used to staying up late in the morning. The last time she stayed up late she had been a hyper kid.

As they entered the luxurious room, the Doctor could see how tired Dani really was. He usually had a horrible habit of dragging people into situations which they really shouldn't be involved with, which made him feel guilty. She was only human after all.

Within two seconds of them entering the room, there was a firm knock on the door and the Doctor wandered over to answer it. It revealed a member of the hotel staff, holding two steaming coffees in a cardboard holder.

"Here's those coffees, Sir." The young man said to him, offering the Time Lord the drinks to which he gladly took.

"Thank you, my boy." The Doctor replied politely before quietly shutting the door and gliding over to where Dani was sitting. He grabbed one of the coffees and removed it from the cardboard holder and gently handed it to her. "There you go, one cup of coffee." He took his own hot drink out and set the holder into the bin provided, looking out of the window to observe the quiet London night.

Dani smiles at the Doctor a true and thankful one as she got up and went to get some creamer and some sugar. She took a sip and sighs, it was regenerating the small amount of energy she had left as she studies the stranger. Even though they had met literally no more than a hour or so, she trusted this Doctor. Not just because he saved her life.

There was just something very trustworthy about this man. She got herself comfortable and stayed quiet. She knew that she would get her answers. But she would let him have his peace for the moment. She figured he didn't get enough of it. Peaceful moments that was. There was a bit of a restless soul she would bet. Not sure where it was going but kept moving forward. She wondered where it would come to a stop, and what would cause it. She placed the coffee on the table and stood next to him. "May I have your coat? I might as well fix it for you." She says kindly and he did automatically as if he didn't mind her being there and fixing his things. She had a faint feeling this would only be one of many things of his that she would mend. She sat by a lamp on the bed taking the emergency kit and the tatters out and picked the blue thread that went with the coat. She had also brought her coffee sipping it as she softly hums waiting patiently as she worked. She found that music while she worked, as corny as that was, made the job go smoother and swifter.

The Doctor took a sip of the coffee, savoring the sugary and creamy taste. He rarely had time to stop and enjoy anything like this as he was constantly on the move. The last time he had enjoyed coffee was with Donna. As soon as he thought of her, his hearts sank slightly. He missed her so much.

"May I have your coat? I might as well fix it for you."

Dani's voice pulled the Doctor out of his trance and he turned to face her. "Oh yes, I forgot about this," He said, looking down to the gaping tear. He placed his coffee down and began to slowly shrug his coat off his shoulders. Suddenly, he felt a small twinge of pain emit from his lower back as he managed to fully remove his coat, and he winced in discomfort as he handed his coat over to Dani.

"Geez, my backs been sore these past couple of weeks..." The Doctor groaned, as he placed a hand behind his back for support. "Must be getting old," He chuckled with a smile.

Dani looks at the Doctor one of the tatters fixed and stood up and went to touch him but stopped blushing. "I'm sorry. May I see what's wrong? You sound in pain. I could do my best and get rid of it for you." She said and rose an eyebrow. "Old? You don't seem any older than I am. Maybe like five years older than I am. And you don't want to call a girl old. That's just calling for a stay in the dog house." She said with a small giggle and looked once more into his deep brown eyes and saw that even though he might not seem it, he felt so as those eyes saw a lot more than she could ever know. She then went back to the bed. "Well come here and get comfortable. Tell me how I'm doing half blind." She says teasing herself as she held the jacket. There was another small hole but she had the last piece on the table. If not for the fact that there were small stitches in the fabric and the memory of the jacket ripping, you wouldn't be able to tell that it had gotten ripped by glass. "So how about you get started on the whole explaining thing as I get rid of the pain in your back. Sound like a deal?" She asked a gleeful smile on her lips as he did as she said and got comfortable.

The Doctor held up a hand. "Don't worry about it, I just had a bit of a fall in my ship before I landed, I sometimes catch my back without realising it until later."

He didn't hesitate the offer to sit down when Dani helped him to the seat, feeling his back pain instantly begin to calm. "Oh I'm older than I look, much older in fact." He commented. "At a guess, I'd say about 885 years older. The last time I checked, I was 904. I might be 905 now." He chuckled lightly, admiring Dani's handiwork. He had to admit, she had done a brilliant job. "It's looking great!"

Dani moved closer to him, making a deal with him for information. He smiled and nodded. It was only fair. "Deal. What do you want to know then, Dani?"

"Nine hundred and five?" Dani asked confused looking at him as if he had sprouted another head. She had never heard anything so ridiculous. Except for that whole disastrous Twilight thing. "How about explaining that then?" She asked leaving him be at his insistence that he was just fine. She did preen though when he said that her work was brilliant. She didn't often get to hear first hand what a customer thought of her work on their torn things. More often than not it came from her boss. But knowing first hand that she was good and appreciated made her feel good. "And another question, cause I think I heard about you on the television one year while I was still living in America. Are you that Doctor that...oh what was her name...Harriet? I can't remember her last name but anyways, are you that same man she had been searching for?" She asked having just remembered it as it had been some time ago, maybe three or so years and she just put it behind her head until then.
