Misty saw Erick go to shove Shane back and she clenched her fists glaring at him her eyes bright red.

"Go home, Erick." Misty growled at him. She wasn't going to have him hurting a human, or being hurt by one. She didn't want anyone to have an actual reason to dislike the humans. Erick's gaze flashed to her for a split second and he backed up his eyes going back to Shane.

"Fine, but like you said, this isn't over." Erick hissed before turning and storming back into the woods. Misty turned to face away from Shane trying to calm down. She blinked a few times so her eyes would go to normal as she breathed in and out slowly.

"Sorry about him." She said glancing back at Shane.

Shane had completely missed her eyes going red. It was not important to him. Not really he was focused on Erick and dealing with him right now. Once the guy had left he calmed himself down. He had to not seem crazy in front of Misty.

"No I'm sorry. I just should not have acted like that. It was my fault. " Shane said sighing. He looked at her and the woods he had run into. "What's his beef? I mean why does he hate me so much? I really did not Doo all that much to him right? I mean he seemed to hate my guts. Did I insult him? Also your father is still alive and here?" He asked looking at her. There was something off with her.

"Any outsiders aren't viewed with high regard. Our prescience isn't known to the outside world. Our people like to keep it that way." She shrugged a little as she chewed on her lip trying to figure out how to explain everything to him without giving away the full truth. "My father is alive, not so much here, but he's alive."

She started to pace as she thought. How would she explain everything. It wasn't like there was a cave system that wasn't full of water that she could say led back to a city of her people or anything. There was just the island, the only land as far as the eye could see. What had she gotten herself into? What was she going to do? Just leave and hope someone found him? But then he would try and find her, he wouldn't of course but she didn't want him to think he'd imagined it all.

So they were some kind of cult? Living alone far away from the rest of the world. Maybe that's why Erick hated him so much? But then again they were odd. Almost inhumanly do. He tried to avoid the whole she might be crazy thing.

He looked at her. Didn't she need to go after Erick so as to not get in trouble? If her father tried to kill him things could get ugly.

"Uhh don't you need to go stop him? Talk about how much you hate me. Me being an outsider and all that?" He asked not wanting to get her in trouble with her father. But not want to get her hurt either. He would have to fight Erick eventually. Not a happy idea. Shane sat down and looked up at her. His blue eyes reflecting the light.

"No, he won't say anything because instead of dragging me home when he heard I had an...outsider out here he followed me. So he'd get in just as much trouble." She shrugged hoping she was right about that. She sat down and glanced at him, the way the fire danced on his skin and in his eyes was almost majestic. She blinked a few times and glanced at the fire in front of her. "I'll go in a little bit to make sure, but it'll be fine. I'm sorry about that, I know I must seem strange and all but I'm not. If you want I can leave, someone will find you."

She was slowly forming a plan in her head to find something that had a tracker on it from his team and take it to the island. So if they followed it they would find him and he could safely go back home.

Shane sighed in relief. He had been worried that she would say he was as good as dead. He figured Erick wanted his head but that was different. He was worried for Misty. What if she for in trouble with her father? He oddly did not want to lose her. Not now. Yet she wanted to leave him? Why?

"Misty. That won't happen. All my tracking signals were destroyed in the blast. I'm stuck here for awhile. However... I don't want you to leave me. You are my only friend here. I want you to stay with me Misty. I.. I need as many friends as I can get. You seem different but I like that. You march to your own beat. " He said meaning every word. "Unless you want to leave me... Not that I blame you. I'm a wreck. I'm violent. I'm sort of crazy. If you want to leave me alone that's fine." He said looking down at his feet. He wanted her to stay.

"I haven't seen you be violent, all guys seem to have to size each other up. I just didn't figure Erick would egg you on. I will only keep to go check in, make sure no one else comes because my people won't treat you that well." She replied as she leaned against a tree. She had another hour before she had to get back in the water. "So tell me about you, where are you from?"

She watched him carefully, she didn't know why he said he was crazy, but it made her feel happy that he didn't want her to go anywhere. She just had to figure out a way to get a message to his team without being found out.

Shane looked at her happy. She did not think him a gun totting loony. A rare idea. He expected her to try and leave him. ASAP. Course he wanted her to stay. She was nice and sort of got him. Again rare. Most people saw his people as mad people.

"I'm from a little sea side village in California. A part of the US. "He added to help her. "I've lived most my life by the sea. People use to joke I was part fish. I joined the SEALS to do more than in the navy. " He said shrugging. He was honestly getting tired right now. He stifled a yawn. "I think I need to get some sleep. " The moon was high in the sky right now. He motioned to a spot by the fire. "I'll just sleep here. I don't like sleeping in beds. Well not while in the field. " He said as he laid down. "Can you promise to be here in the morning?" He asked his eyes dropping. He was asleep before he could hear her answer.

Misty watched him slowly drift to sleep and she chewed on her lower lip.

"I'll try." She said softly as she added some more wood to the fire then walked to the cave system, diving in and swimming towards where she knew Erick would be.

"What the heck! You don't need to go back there, he's dangerous!" Erick growled when she swam up to him. "Let his people find him."

"They won't find him and you know that. Not without my help." She replied crossing her arms. "Erick, just trust me in that I know what I'm doing!"

"You don't know what your doing, no one knows what the humans are capable of! They are vicious. You've seen the mutations they have made." He snapped back.

"Not all of them are bad, he's not back, come on Erick. I've watched humans for a long time now, they aren't as bad as everyone thinks. Yes some of them are, but not all of them!"

"You've been watching them! You know that's against the rules!" Erick hissed.

"So is the fact that you came and met him instead of dragging me home. You're in this too, so keep your mouth shut." She hissed swimming back towards the island.

"Where are you going?" Erick demanded.

"To keep an eye on him. I'm going to find a way to get him back to his people. Just leave me and him alone, Erick." She replied before taking off.
