The current summer has lasted for seven years, and while harvests have been bountiful for some time, maesters of the citadel unanimously agree that only a few short weeks separate the realm's sun-drenched gardens from a brisk, short autumn. A twin-tailed comet has sprung up from the horizon and is hurtling towards the Sunset Sea in the West, while in the East, the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms lays dying in her chambers. Where countless armies and assassins have failed, a summer sickness is slowly succeeding. Though originally troubled with little more than a cough, Queen Daenerys Targaryen is now slowly dying in the Red Keep, only a decade after the untimely death of her husband and nephew, King Aegon VI. While the Seven Kingdoms prospered during their reign following a decisive victory in the War For the Dawn, the queen's impending death leaves Westeros on the brink of collapse for the first time since the War of the Five Kings. In the Stormlands, Jon Targaryen, the eldest son and legitimized bastard of Aegon Targaryen, is preparing for his twin daughters' sixteenth nameday celebration, the Tourney of Summerhall. On the island of Dragonstone, the younger, trueborn son of the king and queen, Rhaegon Targaryen is making preparations for his mother's impending death and his own coronation. As lowborn are wont to do, eyes on the golden comet making its way across the sky have lead to several theories for its importance. Southerners say it falls to mark the death of Queen Daenerys, while Northerners proclaim it is the "Sword that will Slay the Spring", an omen of a bitter winter yet to come. All throughout the realm, this lord and that lord whisper that it is gold for Jon's sigil or Rhaegon's golden dragon Viserion, though its two tails have not gone unnoticed by either side. There are whispers of war, and as Daenerys grows sicker, these whispers are becoming louder.
Discord Link!

Exact years coming soon.
• Aegon lands in Westeros with the Golden Company at his back. He quickly captures the undefended Stormlands, and though the Golden Company clashes with loyalist forces under Mace Tyrell, house Hightower and other conspirators among the reachmen turn on their liege lord, and Mace is defeated. The Dornish forces positioned in the Prince's Pass rendezvous with this combined force and sweep the remaining Lannister and Tyrell forces from the Crownlands. In the north, Stannis is successful in liberating Winterfell from the Boltons with the help of the northern houses. Davos Seaworth returns with Rickon Stark in tow, Stannis names the boy Lord of the North and wins the loyalty of the kingdom. After defeating the Boltons and Freys at the onset of winter and returning the North to the control of the Starks, Stannis Baratheon turns the remainder of his forces to the Wall to combat the oncoming threat of the White Walkers. His efforts ultimately prove nigh, and he falls in battle against the Others. Stannis's forces who do not flee south join the Night's Watch. • Barristan Selmy and Victarion Greyjoy are successful in scattering the Yunkaii host outside Meereen, the great battle attracting Drogon back to the city with Daenerys in tow. She is convinced by her advisers to leave the city in the hands of her husband while she travels with the iron fleet back to Westeros, using captured Yunkaii vessels to ferry her Unsullied and Dothraki host along the voyage. By the time Dragonstone is in sight, Victarion Greyjoy has died of injuries sustained at the Battle of Meereen. Daenerys lands at Dragonstone, the three great dragons putting the remaining Redwyne fleet to the torch. Aegon, who now sieges King's Landing, has an envoy contact the Mother of Dragons and requests a parlay with her. The negotiations are tumultuous, but the advisory counsels of both prideful monarchs help soothe things and the two agree to wed and combine their armies in honor of their shared blood. The threat of dragonfire turns the populace upon the queen, and Cersei and her children are surrendered after rioting threatens to engulf the capital. The jailhouse holding Queen Cersei is broken into, and the remaining Lannisters are killed by a mob. The following night, Aegon and Daenerys are coronated and the war is officially decreed to be at an end. • Euron Greyjoy and his Ironborn loyalists are defeated by Daenerys' three dragons, but not before Euron is able to bind Drogon with the Dragon horn, burning most of the Lannister fleet. While Rhaegal and Viserion fought with Drogon amidst the clouds, Euron Greyjoy's ship was rammed by Lannister forces, killing Euron and Drogon simultaneously. Drogon's body sank into the sea, though his lighter bones would wash ashore on the Westerlands for nearly a year. King Aegon strips House Greyjoy of all lands and titles, sparking a civil war within the iron islands for the seastone chair. This civil war is quelled by a Kingsmoot wherein Godfrey Goodbrother was chosen to lead the ironborn. House Goodbrother would go on to send a raven to King's Landing, bending the knee to Aegon officially and being named lords paramount of the iron islands. • The Horn of Joramun is used by the Others to topple The Wall. Lord Rickon Stark and his last surviving brother, Jon Snow, petition the crown to gather their armies with a captured wight. Queen Daenerys flies to The Gift to properly survey the destroyed wall, and sends for the unified armies of the seven kingdoms. Along with her two surviving dragons, this unified force quickly overwhelms the Others and the War for The Dawn is brought to a close in 303 AC, but not without heavy casualties. The North is reduced to more rubble than standing fortresses, while many famous knights and warriors of the era -- Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, Sandor Clegane, Brienne of Tarth, Barristan Selmy, and many others -- are killed at the hands of the White Walkers. • House Florent, House Caron, and House Darry are returned the lands and keeps taken from them during the War of the Five Kings, while House Frey and House Bolton are stripped of all lands and titles. Members of House Frey quietly assume lives as smallfolk or highwaymen, while the remaining Boltons are hunted down by House Stark and the line extincted. After this, the Dreadfort and its immediate lands are given to the newly-formed House Thenn, while the Twins and their lands are given to House Strong of the Golden Company. During this time, Edmure Tully is rescued by loyalists and made Lord of Riverrun. Tyrion Lannister and Edric Baratheon are given respective lordship over the Westerlands and Stormlands, while Timett "One-Eye" Arryn wins the Eyrie's weirwood throne after a brief civil war. • Margaery Tyrell visits King's Landing for many months, returning to the Reach pregnant with the son of Aegon Targaryen. She gives birth later in Highgarden and sends a raven to the Red Keep informing Aegon of his first child, a healthy son, requesting a name for the boy. Aegon flies to Highgarden that night to meet his son, naming him after Jon Connington, a father figure to the king in his youth. Four years later, during a bout of sickness, Aegon legitimizes Jon. This act infuriates the Queen even more than fathering a bastard, and she gives birth to a trueborn son, Rhaegon Targaryen, within a year. Because of Rhaegon's propensity for horsemanship and Dothraki culture growing up, as well as the queen's lifelong cold relationship with Aegon, many suspect Rhaegon to be the son of one of Daenerys's bloodriders.
