[/quote] This is generally my rule of thumb anyway for playing superhero characters, given there's so much conflicting history and retcons to deal with. I try to make an amalgam of everything, I.E with Spider-Man, he's about the age that he is in the modern comics, but was bitten by a genetically altered spider as he was in the Ultimate Universe and is engaged to MJ for the first time - as opposed to having been married to her only to sell that off to the literal devil. If I were to write out his full history, it'd probably be some elaborate combination of 616, Ultimate, MCU, the Raimi films, the Spectacular cartoon and any other version I love. It makes things more fun and covers alot of bases, while never messing with the 'classic' formula of who these characters are.
