Things were not looking too good for the agents. The shadow demon was shrugging off attacks left and right. He had heard Grau'ss order to charge his most powerful spell. "Understood!" Richard then begins a steady mantra, and before long a ball of pure light the size of a basball formed in his hands. Agent Grau's attack nearly broke his focus but he kept on uttering the mantra. "I'm fine! Just give me a few more seconds and the spell would be fully charged!" The small ball of light had grew in size, it now comparable to the size of a small melon.

"Richard, get as far away from it as you can before you launch that spell and drink a mana potion if you've got one." he instructed the junior agent. When the Shadow Demon began to speak, Argus grabbed a water bottle off of his belt and began to chug its contents. Though not nearly as potent a fuel source as the liquid hydrogen, the lighter fluid would keep the Djinn going for the rest of the fight.

Arguus once again shifted his body, revealing his naturals claws, eyes, and mouth. "You, elemental girl, keep your water as far away from me as possible if you want to live." he took up a fighting stance with his body low to the ground, one foot pushed out behind him in a position akin to a sprinter's start and mimicking a serpent preparing to spring upon its prey. Coiling flames formed around the Djinn's bone claws, and as soon as Richard's spell went off, he would launch himself forward towards the Shadow Demon. Two quick slashes would be aimed at its chest with the fire-empowered claws before kicking off from the ground and dodging backwards out of its reach.

Richard nods in understanding of Grau's instructions. It was rather difficult for him to move quickly due to the constant mana drain for maintaining the chains that bound the demon, as well as him charging his most powerful spell. Though after a couple more seconds than Richard wanted, he was at least ten meters away from the shadow demon. His vision began to blur as the ball of light had grew to the size of a basketball. He had heard the senior agent to drink one of his agency issued mana potions after, but Richard was not sure he would be conscious after pouring all of his remaining mana into this spell. He could only hope to God that this spell would be sufficient enough to neutralize the suspect.

Amaya looked up melting her ice as she moved out of the way of the bite reforming before the males. "He nearly took a chunk out of me. That is not cool...I could have gotten him to calm down if you guys hadn't rushed him." She added scowling the group. "He is doing a last ditch effort....it might still be able to be calmed down....maybe?" She said. She would jump in to help but she was going to attempt the 'team aspect and let them handle this as she used a lot of her energy forming herself trying to hold the demon in place.

"Stay back, waterborn. My kind don't exactly react well to getting wet and any ice you make won't last long once I start swinging." Argus warned the half-elemental, holding his stance and ready to pounce upon the hulking shadow demon. "Creatures like this transform when the daylight wanes and waxes. It was only a matter of time before he was lost to the madness." he glanced over at her, his voice obviously condescending, though it was not necessarily directed towards Amaya herself.

"If we had managed to track him earlier in the night, before his transformation, then reason may have worked. We could have taken measures to contain him peacefully." the agent explained calmly, eyes locked onto the blue-haired girl for a few moments, "Unfortunately, at this point we have to fight until he's weakened and forced to revert, or until the sun rises and it happens naturally." the Djinn focused back on the demon, "Either way, this ends in violence. So stay out of my way so you don't accidentally kill me; and if Richard collapses force feed him the blue potion that'll be in one of his pockets."

With a determined glare, Argus spoke one more time. "Richard, fire when ready,"

Richard's vision grew hazy and blurred due to how much of his mana he was pouring-no-CRAMMING into this spell. He could barely hear Grau allow him permission to fire the spell in his state, but he could hear none the less. With herculean effort he let loose the basketball sized ball of light at the shadow demon. The effect was instantaneous. Pure light flooded a sixty foot radius as the darkened sewers were lit up like hundreds of floodlights simultaneously turned on.

With the spell cast, Richard slumps on a sewer wall like a sack of bricks; barely conscious.

Griffin growled at Argus when the other man told him what to do. So much for being the senior officer. Not that he could blame the other man for taking charge. Argus was going to have to take the lead since he couldn't. He flinched as Richard started to build up his magic. He should run as fast as he could to the entrance and call for backup but he was reluctant to leave the people he had been put in charge of.

He moved slowly watching as long as he could despite the fact that Richard's power was weakening. The group seemed to be working together better now. Either they had worked out the kinks or Argus was a better leader than he was. Griffin tended to think it was the later. While he was older than most of the people in the group he had no experience leading. This was suppose to help him build those skills. But he was starting to see that he might not possess them to build.

Once he couldn't see the group Griffin used his speed to rush to the surface where he could get a signal and call for containment.

"Finally, now for these chains" shadow said as it bit down on one cutting straight through them in there weekend state. But before it knew what happened the others disappeared and he was blinded and began to melt and turn to smoke.

As the djinn launched forward and made contact he would hit cloth and flesh, black blood would spatter across him, as the light died down Mason would be seen standing leaning heavily holding his chest blood dripping out. He was looking down slowly he looked up, instead of green his eyes were still blood red signalling it was still in control. It had a psychotic grin showing the side of its face still burned open showing bloody teeth and bone.

"Elemental, give Richard the potion immediately. Check his belt and jacket." the Djinn ordered; spinning on his heels behind Shadow, to face the demon's back. Flexing his left hand, Argus lunged forward, aiming to grasp the weakened creature by the neck with his enlarged, clawed hand and drive him into the ground face-first while enshrouding his other hand with flames and thrusting the rigid claws into the demon's lower back. "I am Agent Grau of the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs." he announced bluntly, should his grappling manuever be succesfull, he would ignite the hand around Shadow's neck, "By the authority given to me by The Agency, you are under arrest for disturbing the peace and revealing the supernatural to the protected public. Surrender yourself to our custody immediately and I can ensure your punishment is minimal."

"I have a name it is easy cause it has to do with my element genie. "She replied blankly catching Richard lowering him down allowing his head in her lap. She was a bit hesitant to go digging through anyone's pockets..."sorry Richard.."She said softly before she began checking his pockets of his pants or jacket finding a bottle of blue liquid "I hope this is the mana thingy you wanted...."Said Amaya adjusting Richard's head before pouring the potion down his mouth in small bits to make sure he didn't choke on the liquid in his state.

The effect of the potion was almost instantaneous. Energy returned to Richard's whole system and restarted normal functions. His eyes re-focus in the low light conditions of the sewer to see the face of the pale woman. He wondered why she was so close to him before realizing that he was laying on her lap. A massive blush bloomed on his face as he stammered and stuttered at that sudden fact. Richard can't handle the embarrassment any longer and tries to stand up and manages to do so before slumping again against the sewer wall again. He can't muster the courage to look at the pale woman but speaks his mind. "Th-that w-w-wasn't necessary ma'm. B-bu-but thank you none t-the less." He looks over to Agent Grau and sees him pinning the suspect to the ground. He would like to help but it seems that the effects of casting that overcharged spell was still beginning to fade and forced him into this passive state.

Mason's neck and face was being burned badly. It grinned "7,6,5..." it said as Mason's long white hair was being burned and charred black. As it got to one the black tar like substance suddenly shot out from himself as he began to reform, the tar/ink like substance began to boil as it formed back around the djinn's hands.

"Yeah yeah, I'll learn your name when we're NOT in imminent danger" the Djinn spat back at Amaya, his focus remaining purely on Mason. Argus hissed angrily when the demon's ink began to move up his arm; so he used his free hand to retrieve another bottle from his belt; biting through the metal side with sharp reptilian teeth and allowing the lighter fluid to run down his face, swallowing as much of the flammable liquid as he could before spitting out the container.

"4, 3, 2, 1" he finished alongside his recovering foe, the human guise peeling away from the rest of his arm in a torrent of flame. "You think your ink can hurt me?" the agent growled, the flames enshrouding his once-again reptilian arm did not fade, growing hotter and hotter as Argus burned off the extra fuel he had consumed. The fluid running down his chest caught fire as he tightened his group around Mason's through underneath the tar. "There's only ONE way to kill a Djinn, and right now? she's on our side." he jerked his head towards Amaya. "So just STOP FIGHTING AND LET US HELP YOU!" The furious Djinn raised his other hand and slammed it claws-first into Shadow's back with as much force as he could muster.

"if he can put some I am sure I can combat the thing for a while."She said standing up before reaching her hand out to the sewage water using her other in a combing motion pulling the cleaned water into a ball hovering above her hand as she watched them before holding it out to Richard "can you manage what he was saying?'she asked

As his claws sank in it began laughing "HEHAHEH I feel nothing! This isn't my body! That weak fool is another story!" it began to push up with the djinn pushing him down as the ink like substance began to harden and spikes forming.

Argus ripped himself free of the Demonic ink, his arm letting out a sickening crack as he kicked off from Shadow's back, leaving behind a severed limb that quickly burned to ashes. "You are on tough son of a bitch, aren't you?" the Djinn asked, narrowing his eyes to examine the demon closely. "Burning it like tar isn't going quite as well as I had hoped."
"Richard, I know you're not doing so great, but can you squeeze out ANY more spells?" Argus retrieved a few pieces of charcoal from his jacket, shoving them into his mouth as quickly as possible with his surviving hand. The agent hisseed through his teeth, clearly in pain as creeping flames began to form a new reptilian arm in place of the one he had left behind. "Nothing big, nothing flashy. I just need you to make some holy water. Bless as much of the stuff running through this tunnel as you can." he shifted his gaze to Amaya briefly, "I assume you can figure out what to do with a demon and a river of holy water if Richard can pull it off?"

Argus shook his freshly formed limb as he regained sensation in the restored appendage, "God I am glad I'm one third magic lizard or that would have SUCKED." his human shell quickly overtook the reptilian form of his regrown arm; rough, heavily tanned skin and black leather creeping up to his wrist where a final burst of flames replaced the four-fingered hand with an ordinary human one.

The few moments of respite were all Richard needed. The effect of the mana fatigue had eased up enough for him to perform some minor spells. Grau needed him to bless some water. He spots the water that Amaya held before him and he knew what to do. He raised one open palm to the sphere of water and began uttering a simple prayer of supplication. It was a weak spell but it was enough to bless the water near him.

Amaya took a deep breath moving the sphere of water between her hands before expanding it to a blade that would feel like a actual blade but be made of pure water "Lets hope I can do this.."She started before whispering "like mother showed me". She moved forward past the genie "as you said if you don't want hurt....move back..."She added looking at the genie behind her as her hair wiggled before moving from a ponytail to a bun. She stretched some before taking a breath "Lets dance demon...After all, you don't mind getting splashed with some water right?"she asked before dashing forward at the demon slashing her blade up in the upward slash motion letting go of the blade towards the end before she twisted along with the blade forming longer forming a form of a whip that attempted to wrap around the tar monster.

If it did wrap around a part of the demon she would use the motion and force to fling the demon over her shoulder into a wall before it would revert back to a blade before she would continue with a volley of slashes at the demon

Argus retreated a ways, getting closer to Richard while keeping his attention on Amaya and Shadow. "My human shell is pretty waterproof, as long as I'm not fully submerged and nothing cracks me open I'll be fine. It's my natural form that I need to be careful around water." he explained, popping a few more pieces of charcoal into his mouth. "How are you feeling, Richard?" the Djinn inquired, leaning up against the wall near the junior agent. "Not experiencing too much burnout, I hope? I know mana drain can be a bitch for you humans."

"Nothing to worry about, sir." Richard winces slightly while attempting to blink away the effects of his overexertion. In all his years of existence, this was only the second time he was forced to use the [Solar Flare] spell and the only time he crammed all his mana into the spell. "Just not used to exerting this much, is all." He lets out a good natured chuckle with a hint of nervousness blended within. "I really do hope the blessed water would be enough, sir. 'Cause I don't think I can pull off any more fancy spells like that any time soon."
