There was little to do, so I kept it short and to the point. I just hope that we can move to the actual engaging parts of the story instead of being stuck with exposition.

I really don't think that delaying the interest points of the story with small talk/scenes that count be easily sumarized in a single paragraph-long info drop is the best course of action when it's already struggling to get off the ground.
