I also just have an affinity for creator references in general. One of my grievances with Tom King's current run on [i]Batman[/i] is the fact that he decided to canonically give Bruce the middle name of "Thomas" rather than the first or last name of one of the 79 years of influential writers and artists that worked on the character.

In my head, Bruce's middle name is William. 

After Bill, as in Finger.
