One could never be too sure; Manny had only spoken about a guard possibly being dead and possibly coming back from the dead. This one Alexander could see in plain sight, and he was the priorite then. The Beretta was pointed firmly at the man lying on the ground and aimed at his chest, the veterans trigger finger firmly where it was meant to be. Alexander stepped quickly up to the man, ready for him to jump back up and fighting like crazy, but the Edenite didn't die. Either he was indeed dead or in shock. Either way Alexander holstered the pistol, put down Manny's shotgun and slung his fireaxe off the shoulder. In anger and disgust Alexander cleaved his axe right into the man's head as if it was nothing in the world. Now he was dead for good, and no longer a possible threat to the group, who desperatly needed to make a decision sooner rather than later. He turned his attention to the automatic rifle then and picked it up to inspect it. It was fairly standard for an automatic weapon as far as he could see, taken into consideration he hadn't used one for years. Pressing the magazine release and checking the magazine, it was empty. Good, but bad. The rifle's chamber was empty too, and after a quick search of the Edenite it was clear that the last burst of fire was the last one; no bullets on him, just a knife and a necklace made of...God, those people really were FUBAR...various human body parts threaded on a piece of string. Alexander threw the human necklace in anger at the Edenite, spitting on he's now cloven face and taking the knife for himself. "We can't stay here, not like this." Alexander with the clearest realization of what their options were, like in a combat situation where neither of said options were good ones. His eyes shifted from the dead Edenite and up to Thalia as she provided cover, before his words continued to shoot out like rockets from a gunship. "Either we have to continue the attack and hopefully take out the rest, or we have to pull out and get the Hell out of this place. We can't stay here with Gavin or Thana..." The Veteran was soon back over Thana, though not able to tell anything from the shitstorm that had just hit her. As he then kneeled down beside her, his eyes shot over to Beatrice as she told Manny to do what he can, then at least to Manny himself. "Why are you just standing there, medic? Do something!" Alexander now nearly shouted at Manny, probably not realizing he was getting mixed signals of which battlefield he was in; Edenite or Vietnam? It was all too same right then; Alexander could do little to improve it except covering them and praying for the best.
