Because some people would use that as short hand for writing an inconsistent character without any logic behind it. It's hard to accept that idea unless you want to put up a real nice Sample Post to demonstrate it.

Though in this instance since split personalities aren't going to affect the actual body it would be impossible to be Light and Dark since no matter how much one may try to be good, the other is going to be corrupting the body by absorbing Nightmares. So in this case, they'd be two personalities on one side, just one [i]wants[/i] to be there and the other doesn't.
