Stumbling to the trunk she tried her best to retrieve her bags that were placed there before the drive from the airport. But the old diver had followed suit, thanking his passenger in return, as he slipped to his trunk and carried out her suitcase for her. "I can bring it inside for you too, if you'd like." Astrid Nygaard was first cousins with Daphne Nicole Seara, the bride-to-be, who she had known her whole life. Not only were their mother's sisters, but they were best friends, which was how Nicole and Astrid were too, adopting the same kind of relationship with one another. Astrid had to admit that she was surprised when Nicole asked her to be a bridesmaid for her wedding. The sole reason for her shock and surprise was because Astrid always made the assumptions that her cousin wasn't the marrying and settling type from all of her adventures that she had done in their teen and college years. "No, no! It's okay you don't have to." Astrid said, collecting herself and her baggage from the driver's hands. Waving him goodbye she made her way into the lobby of the hotel her uncle owned. To be honest, Astrid hadn't been to the casino since she was ten, more than a decade ago, so being in the lobby, even with the changes was extremely nostalgic. A bright smile filled her face as she finished making her way to the front desk. Flashing her pearly whites with a pep in her eyes, she went on, "Hi, I'm checking in for the party of Nicole Seara." "One moment," the lady behind the desk said, typing away at the computer. "Name please?" "Astrid Nygaard," she replied readjusting her glasses. "N-Y-G-A-A-R-D." "Ah, yes!" The woman said with the light bulbs clicking in her head. "So most of your party have already checked in..." She scratched away at her keyboard before continuing, sliding over a small envelope across the counter. "Inside there is your key card and the information for your room. I hope you have a nice stay here with us." Flashing her own smile and friendly wink, she bowed as Astrid walked off. Minutes later Astrid sipped her key into her door and wandered in to her room full of amazement. Cole had really outdone herself with this wedding extravaganza, even the rooms were amazing. Tugging her luggage through her room she felt all of her energy fly out of her body when she saw her bed. Dropping her case without any hesitation she jumped onto her bed with a big sigh. "Wonder what the girls are up to?" Astrid wondered, not having seen her friends, who were the other bridesmaids, for a few weeks as their schedules hadn't aligned for awhile.
