Oh, for that? I thought I explained it pretty well IC, but I can explain it here as well.

Everyone knows you can't be the cool kid by yourself, that just makes you a weirdo. So obviously, the first step to seeming cool is to get a friend, but a weirdo loner just can't approach a somewhat popular kid, right? So Cassidy has to work their way up with another loner, then together they can get a slightly more popular kid to join and so on.
