I feel like 13 suffered from the linear story and gaming mechanics. It had a lot of good things that sounded great in theory, but it definitely suffered from a very poor execution. The lack of open-worldness, classic FF gaming mechanics that drew in people originally, and, of course, enjoyable, iconic characters. If it had just done away with a few things that people cite for it being its downfall (such as characters and linear plot), it would've been a decent game - not the best, of course - but a decent one that would definitely put it over some of the other lower-tier Final Fantasy games. But yeah, like [@Hero] said Tactics A2 was by far the worst FF game to ever be made. And that's including those pointless crystal chronicles games. Like why, SE? Why!?
