To this day, unknown to the majority of the world, Riders live on. Their villages are hidden away, for fear of drawing the distrust and ire of Hunters. Only in the most dire of circumstances do Riders strike out from their villages with their monsters. However, forty years ago, a band of Riders decided to leave their villages and strike out to find a new land to call home. After months at sea, they eventually found a small archipelago, filled with monsters both old and new. They came to call this new land the Onma Isles. Over the course of four decades, the Riders built villages, and explored the Onma Isles as much as possible. Traders privy to their secret came, and news and information about the new monsters was disseminated among them.
But something has been happening to the environment. The monsters are becoming more aggressive, and expanding to territories they hadn't in the past. Many believe that this is a sign that the Black Flame has returned.
And if that is true, the Onma Isles may become nothing more than a wasteland, uninhabitable by man or mon. It is a Rider's job to stop this.
Hello, and welcome to the interest check! This RP is based on the game Monster Hunter Stories (and, to a degree, its anime adaptation). That said there will be a few minor tweaks in terms of lore, and the average player character's age will be 15 or older. I still have some planning to do, but I have a preliminary map worked up, which I'll be working on.
At the moment, I'm looking for someone to help as co-GM, and that would basically entail making sure the RP keeps on track, and helping to come up with requests for Riders to take on. If there are any other questions, feel free to ask me!
