I agree. I was referring to instead of explaining In detail what happened just give an overview. Like for my character for example. Could have gone into detail about the day his father died, how it affected him emotionally and where he was wounded. We all understand that must be a dramatic experience and the lack of detail gives the author material to use in the rp. Better example? He lived in the capital with his mentor for 9 years, probably living in the castle he knows the queens very well due to his mentors station and he basically follows him everywhere cause he is an apprentice, also the castle though massive is still a small place essentially but no need to go into details on how well because it's given to a point. But of course it's always fun to read about a history of a character, so there is no right way of doing it :) Edit: also when including other npcs like the queens it's better to be vague so you don't make an ass of yourself making stuff up that's not there. course you can get it cleared by the to gm or other player just more effort but that's besides the point! :)
That is a big bit right there, bold and italicized. If you have an idea for something that involves named characters established, it is best to get it cleared first. This is common courtesy because many of these characters are the creative property of another, liable, they will act or follow through a certain way unless proper reasons are there. So, to keep character consistency and not trample over someone's feet, do try to get in touch when you have big ideas like this. We will work with you to the best of our limitations
How adorable. Welcome to the group. I can't wait until you meet Kad.
..... Yes, I do believe Kad is looming like a monstrous shark, waiting for the first victims to come closer before going on a feeding frenzy o.o He is an evil overlord for a reason.
