As Glenn lumbered to his feet and Roan stepped out onto the road, the girl nudged her horse a little farther away from the pair, ensuring she had plenty of room to escape if she needed to. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she studied Roan for a few moments before answering cautiously, "There was a fellow a couple miles back that way," she jutted her chin toward the right hand fork in the road, "who tried to stop me on the road. Maybe a bandit, maybe not, but I wasn't taking any chances and hightailed it outta there quick. And what do you mean 'amateur mistakes'?" she asked, sounded slightly vexed.
