Welcome Hey everyone, you can call me Kyrie! I'm in my 30s and have been roleplaying on and off for the last ten years. I am in GMT timezone and I work a full-time job, but you can expect several replies throughout the day, as my commute by public transportation is a tad long and boring. I am very plotting friendly and open to suggestions. I am interesting in playing both in fandom verses and AUs (more on that below). My style of writing: * Third person, past tense with double quotes for speech. I don't demand the exact same of you, just that you don't use first person, as it is a bit weird. * Usually lengthy replies, but it also depends on inspiration. I have seen people demanding specific wordcounts in their requests - I don't do that, as I believe in quality over quantity and dynamic, natural writing. * I enjoy writing action scenes - again, depends on the plot. * I love writing romance (pre-established or slow burn) - it doesn't necessarily mean adult situations though. In fact for those I prefer to fade to black if they do happen - they're not mandatory. * Slice of life * Drama - I have a penchant for drama but I also enjoy the recover from said drama. Fandom verses I'm currently interested in: * Harry Potter (magic, wizards, magical world existing along with non-magic world) * X-Men/The Gifted (the characters are mutants and ostracized, basically) * Tiger&Bunny / My Hero Academia (the characters have superpowers, but it is a common thing, as well as super heroes) * The Legend of Dragoon (fantasy world with various species: humans, winglies, dragons, gigantos) * Tales of Berseria (demons are real and are among humans. Humans tainted by darkness turn into demons. There are also spiritual beings who can be corrupted by darkness) * Full Metal Alchemist (alchemy can affect reality. Everything has a price of equivalent exchange) * Bleach (There's the real world and then there's the spiritual world called Soul Society, where people go after they die. There are evil spirits that prey on these souls and Shinigami who try to maintain the balance of the realms) AU verses I'm currently interested in: * Soulmates
In this universe, soulbrands manifest at a young age and they can be anywhere on the body or any size. They are related to the person the owner is linked to. When the soulbrand is touched by the soulmate, it comes sort of alive and expands (it depends, some really expand a lot, others not really) as the soulbond sets. How do soulmates react to each other before they touch each other's brand? Well it's sort of a deja vu like feeling (hmm this person is kinda familiar, looks kinda interesting), it's not like there will be a neon sign on the other's head saying "he's my soulmate!". That's when seeing the soulbrand comes in handy because it'll have a strong feel of "I'm sure I've seen this before somewhere..." even though they haven't. But they'll definitely feel a different pull towards the soulmate. In this verse soulbrands are considered extremely personal and sort of taboo to just keep them exposed (even if they happen to be on an exposed area of the body, people will just cover them with gauze or something. If people have a doctor's appointment, for example, they will cover them up). The bond I mentioned after touching the soulbrand is something as simple as feeling connected to the other person (i.e. briefly hearing their heart beat, knowing if they're OK or stressed). Even before they meet their soulmate and setting the bond they can feel if the other is in extreme danger (i.e. if the other person is injured or in extreme distress, for example). It is not uncommon for people to only meet their soulmate later in life (even with the help of technology, not every soulmate lives around the corner from their pair). Despite this being a soulmates universe, it doesn't mean people can't have relationships with other people. There are people who choose to be with someone else other than their soulmate either because they got tired of searching, they simply fell in love with someone else (though of course it's different than with their intended soulmate) or in cases where the soulmate has died. A soulmate dying would be a deeply traumatizing experience for their pair, regardless of them having met or not.
Characters I'm interested in role-playing (my character x your character) (cravings in bold): * Aizawa (Eraser Head) from Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia (got some head-canon) x Present Mic * Eizen from Tales of Berseria/Tales of Zestiria x Zaveid * Sirius Black from Harry Potter verse (interested mostly in Marauders era) x Remus Lupin * Hawks from Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia x Endeavor * Dart from The Legend of Dragoon x Lavitz Slambert * Roy Mustang from Full Metal Alchemist (I've only watched both animes.) x Maes Hughes * Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez from Bleach x Ichigo or Ulquiorra * Renji Abarai from Bleach x Ichigo * Coyote Stark from Bleach x Kyouraku Shunsui * Kanda Yuu from D. Gray-Man x Lavi Note: I'm fine with established relationships, romance or even friendship. I don't necessarily need slash pairings for all of these. I'm happy if I can focus on interesting, well-developed dynamics. Aditionally, if you prefer to play a canon character not in this list, drop me a line! This isn't a mandatory list, just my preferences. Original Characters Aslan Torche (24, human) My very first OC, still haven't tested him. If you wish to play your OC against mine in any of the above universes just say so and I can give you more info on him.Original Characters My don'ts: * I don't roleplay with people under 18. I can rest easy I can mention adult themes if I know my partner is of age. * Not interested in MxF. I have nothing against female characters. There are many female characters that I love, just the MxF dynamics are a bit lost on me at the moment, so I am more comfortable writing male characters. * Not interested in CanonxOC. It's either CanonxCanon or OCxOC for me. * Don't throw me one-liners all the time - give me something to work with. It doesn't mean I won't type shorter replies myself from time to time, but constant one-liners are just downers. * Please make sure to spellcheck (there are several, handy tools online if you don't have Word - I use Jspell, for example). Everyone makes mistakes, of course, myself included. But seeing typos, capitalization fail and wonky grammar in every single reply is very annoying and demotivating. * Don't ghost on me. I totally get that life sometimes gets in the way. If you decide you're no longer interested in roleplaying - lost your muse, our styles feel too incompatible, don't have the time anymore, etc. - that's a-OK but please just let me know. Likewise I don't just up and disappear on people. If I lose interest I'll always let you know. It's just good practice. * While I enjoy drama, the following themes are too strong for me: suicide, terminal illnesses, heavy portrays of mental health ilnesses, sexual abuse/violence. If you would like to include these in the story, please check with me first. Likewise, if you are uncomfortable with anything I mention, feel free to say so and I will do my best to edit my part accordingly. Place to roleplay: * Here via PMs * On LiveJournal or Dreamwidth (character accounts) Contact me: * By replying to this post * By private Conversation in this website * By Discord (I'll send you my handle by PM) So, I guess I've mentioned everything of interest. Any questions feel free to ask!
