Mya was frowning as she listened, only to have been interupted by the other subject's steps toward the door, breaking her concentration she had of the words that the official spoke. Instead now she payed more attention to where he was going, she knew who he was, Pat, only having rarely spoken to him, though she would be training in the same area with him constantly almost every day. She knew he wasn't normal though, the sound he made when he would breathe was different than anyone else she had been around; and though she couldn't see, she was aware of the fact that there was a certain machine-like mask he wore over his face, and just hearing others' reactions to things like that in their first weeks, it didn't usually end well for them, being freaked out over something that eventually they would get used to. If he went outside, the door opening would cause them to look around and what's the first thing they see? If they're not already terrified enough. Her eyes widened and she jumped in the way of him exiting, shutting the door swiftly, making a slight slamming noise. "D-don't go out th-there!" she stammered quickly, her expression was worried. There was no telling what the Official might do if Pat distracted his speech/lecture. And she wasn't only afraid of what the new subjects might think of the harsh punishments, scare them more than they already are, she was afraid of what would happen to Pat. There was no way she would let Pat get into trouble like that, not that she didn't think he could handle himself, he'd probably be way better at handling that kind of situation than she would be, he was a lot stronger, even if they weren't very close, she still knew they were mutual accuantances, and if there was anything she could do to stop another person like her from getting hurt, she would do it. "N-not yet..." she added quietly, her voice more hushed, "After... after h-he's done..talking..."
