I'm not familiar with the Master of Masters' abilities, but I do know that Kirby escaped by blinking out of existence with the Warp Star. From what I know, other characters could survive the light by:

1. Knowing that it's coming
2. Having the ability to travel to another universe/blink out of existence momentarily.

Again, I don't know anything about his abilities, but given that he has some degree of foresight, he has number 1 down.
