You are dead.

While you still lived, you were a soldier. You fought well and valiantly for your life, for your country, for the survival of your very species in a war against an enemy from beyond the stars. But in the end, when you died, there was nothing left of the body. An empty casket was buried. You had gone to a better place. That was what the government wanted your loved ones to believe.

It was a lie.
In 2020, the Kora'ai fell from the sky. Their ships had been observed via satellites and telescopes for years. We knew they were there, but it was only then that they chose to arrive. Diplomacy was attempted, but the language barrier proved to be too thick for either side to cross. So humanity left them alone, and were treated in kind. They stayed away from populated areas, and we left them alone. For a while, it worked. But there can be no real diplomacy without communication.

The bombs fell. None of the world's leaders would admit to dropping them; no one dared to. To do so would incur the wrath of the UN. But when they did, the tentative peace that had formed in the intervening months shattered like a laboratory wing made entirely of glass. Humanity and the Drakes, as humans would often call them (see below) went to war. And in spite of Earth's greatest efforts and superior numbers, they were losing, on an impressive scale. In an attempt to more quickly bring an end to the fighting, an organization called EXTRA has approached the UN with a proposition. And the UN agreed.

That's where you come in.
Not much is known about the organization known only as EXTRA; you can only think of two things. One, they're funded by the highest level of several world governments. Two, they brought you back from the dead. You don't know how, but they did. However, you're no longer entirely yourself. You have been resurrected in the body of a Drake.

The Kora'ai are a bipedal, reptilian sentient species with an uncanny resemblance to what humans would call dragons. In height, they average approximately two and a half meters and have a thick, scaly hide that can withstand most punishment including (but not limited to) low calibre gunfire, temperatures up to and exceeding 300 degrees Celsius, or below -60, and what a human would consider lethal blunt trauma without any form of exterior protection. The scales covering this hide can come in any colour one can imagine. Their faces and jaws are elongated to a point, their muzzles looking almost like beaks at the end. Their hands have four long, taloned digits, including an opposable thumb each. Their digitigrade feet are similarly arranged. The most interesting feature of these sentients by far are the large, leathery wings attached to heavily knotted muscles that act as extra arms and make them capable of self-propelled flight, though their size would argue against it. A long tail allows them to maintain balance while standing, and acts as a rudder during flight.

EXTRA wants you to infiltrate the ranks of the Kora'ai. They want you to send back as much information as possible with regards to tactics and technology. It isn't going to be easy. But at least they aren't sending you in alone.

A quick bump. I will be away for the weekend, and will be back on Monday. At that time I will post my own CS and review anyone else's. I know, my timing sucks. If I find any spare time and computer access, I will also copy and paste the OP contents into an int.chk thread, as I forgot to do so before posting here.

Name: Isis Haversaw
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Outfit and Rank: United States Air Force Corporal, Pilot flying F-15E Strike Eagle

Appearance/Photograph:

Before

After

Isis's scales match the color of her hair when she was a human. She has a rather long and lean body, much like she did when she was human. The spikes on her head are sharp and impressive, sturdy enough to withstand bashing an opponent but skinny enough to not look like stumps. Her eyes are fire red, except for the dark pupil. She has slightly lighter scales on her belly and under her neck and tail.

Service Record: A month after high school, Isis shipped off to boot camp. After graduating, she stepped directly onto the line to becoming a pilot. She got lucky with her requests and got exactly what she asked for. The F-15E. Ever since she had watched her father land his jet and step out like he owned the world, she had wanted to fly. Her path had then been laid out by herself, the six year old girl with the weird name. All through school she never deviated from her plans. She was always focused, always working towards her goal. It made her rather naive in the ways of boys. Having no mother didn't help that either. Isis grew up in a house full of boys. Her father raised them all, her and her two brothers. Isis's mother left when she was about five, and she has never heard from her. Her brothers' mothers were either dead, or lived in California.

Once securely in the Air Force, Isis fell head over heels for a guy. Long story short, he ripped out her heart and broke it into a million pieces. However, with him she learned how to have fun and how to enjoy her life. She loves partying and having a good time, joking around with the people that she works with. She is a little crazy at times, taking risks and such but she is a damn good pilot and she knows it. She likes to have fun and she is very friendly and loyal to those who have earned her trust.

On a rather classified mission, one that she wouldn't be able to share with anyone outside of the people she was working with, Isis's plane was struck down. She was sent in basically to observe, only to engage if shot at first. It was dark, almost too dark to see anything in front of her. Her jet was performing at it's best. Something was flying towards them, her and her partner. It must have been black, to blend in with the night, but it couldn't have been real. No jet, or helicopter is pure black. She would have at least been able to see the lights from the pilots cockpit. She saw nothing. She heard the woosh of air over her and spun in her seat to see what it was. It was quiet for a moment as she looked back, communicating with Evans, her partner. He hadn't seen it either. She looked over to him and in horror watched as something batted him out of the sky as if he was a feather. Then it came for her. She avoided it, spinning her bird furiously. Evans was screaming in her ear. Her jet lurched, and stopped...stopped? It couldn't stop in mid-air! Then she was spinning, the alarms inside beeping and blinking furiously. She strained against the controls, trying desperately to right the bird, as soon as it seemed it would all be alright, there was the sound of screaming metal as the entire top of her jet was torn apart. Sparks flew and the engine cut off. Isis tried to eject, tried even to get out of the seat as the plane headed for the earth, but she was stuck, her legs crushed between the metal. There was nothing to do but wait now. Wait until she hit the ground in a fiery mass of mangled metal. She survived after the crash, it felt like an eternity it to her as her blood soaked everything around her and she died.

Other: N/A

Edited for you :)

A couple things, Bella. One, you mention "scarless," as thought this happened a while ago. At the time of the RP's start, we're essentially going to be waking up in brand spanking new bodies within EXTRA's headquarters. Next, how did she die? You have to understand that the brain has to be pretty much intact for something like this to work, and something cool I like to do at the start is to show the world through the character's eyes as it happened, like a flashback to a most recent memory. Lastly, you mention she's in the Air Force, but for what country? I never once mentioned this would only involve one nation, and an alien occupation would definitely be considered a global affair. Other than those few points, though, it looks good.

Asu you have no idea how many pages of reptile fetish bullshit I had to go through to find a decent, not so painful picture. You owe me for this one.

Name: Jabiko Quain
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Outfit and Rank: He's his military's equivalent to a private first class. He doesn't have much influence or inside knowledge.

Personality: Still young and living on wishful thinking. Jabiko believes his people and the humans can still make peace, even after mankind being ripped a new one. He's brave in that he's willing to risk everything on these believe, but this also makes him not too bright. Still, he's a good kid and he means well.

Other: He's a Kora'ai. Like, a real one.

Appearance: A tall, lean, grey scaled dragon guy. He has wings, btdubs.

History: Jabby landed on Earth with the first on the his troops, having just joined the military. His people felt the tension in the air between them and the humans; most were afraid to leave the ships. Then, when bombs finally fell, all hell broke lose. Jabiko fought valiantly, managing to raise a couple ranks before current time. However, he never really felt as though he was doing the right thing. This WAS the humans' planet after all; they had a right to try and defend it.

Jabiko, at a loss of common sense, allowed himself to be captured by human soldiers so that he may get a chance to speak with them. 'Speak' is used loosely. Although he learned English, Jabiko's speech sounds like he gargled with gravel and Captain Crunch.

Somehow, he managed to get his message across: he wanted to help. Jabiko was let in on the project, with the understanding that if he double crossed the humans, he would be shown little mercy. He let them take blood, use him as a model, and whatever else they needed to perfect the Drakes. He helped them learn the language, culture, and whatever else they may need to fit in on the ships, and when all was said and done, he volunteered to take them aboard. Being the low ranking solider that he is, Jabiko has little more access to his superior's secrets than any of the humans. However, as a team, it's possible they may not fail miserably.

Well, her body as a human was scarless, so her body as a dragon would also be scarless, no? I forgot she would be dying lol I'll think of something terrifying in a minute, probably a plane crash -shrugs-
Also, and I apologize for this, I tend to think of all military as the USA so my bad on not clarifying, but she would have been in the US Air Force

Name: Alexander "Sandy" Bridge
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Outfit and Rank: Canadian Armed Forces, Lieutenant

Appearance/Photograph: Although he towers over his previous form - and human standards with it - Sandy stands small among his peers. While he appears short and slender among the Kora'ai, his wingspan, larger than most, allows for greater airborne speed and endurance. His hide is pigmented a bright crimson, with flecks of yellowish gold scattered seemingly at random, giving him an unintentionally flashy appearance, though apparently this is fairly common for Drakes. His head lacks anything in the way of natural decoration besides a simple pair of backwards-facing stumps where it is suspected horns were supposed to grow, but never properly formed.

Service Record: "Be good to your mother," Marcus Bridge said as he placed the watch in young Alexander's hand. He was six years old at the time, and didn't really understand that this would be the last time he would ever see his father walk through the door of his home. Perhaps it was the words that drove him to pull through school top of his class. Perhaps it was the undying hope, in spite of the reality, that told him to move on and make a life for himself. Either way, he had a Master's degree in Engineering and a wife of his own by the time his mother took ill and passed on twenty years later. The day his son was born, he swore that he would never leave the same way his own father had.

That was shortly before the arrival of the Kora'ai. Months passed. A year. It eventually seemed that nothing significant would come from the arrival of these creatures.... Sandy was away on a job when the bombs fell and the war began, and the Drakes struck hard in their initial retaliation, razing cities in their wake - including the city where he grew up, where he was determined to raise his son. He booked his way through sky and road to the nearest evacuation centre... To his great relief, his wife had escaped with his two year old son in tow. They were safe this time. But that didn't mean that they would remain so the next time the Drakes saw fit to attack.

It was this that drove him to enlist. His training passed by swiftly, driven by his determination to protect his family, and his personal grudge against the Drakes for ripping his home away from them. It wasn't long before he was sent into the field, where his experience as an engineer allowed him to earn his rank in a matter of weeks. Then, just like that, it was over.

The Kora'ai had slowly been moving out from their landing, claiming more and more territory in that time. The mission was supposed to be simple. To assist the Americans in halting their advance. They put him in a tank. The thing about a race like the Kora'ai, though, is that when you have skin as thick as theirs, every weapon must be armour piercing to really make an impact. And thus, all of their weapons were just that. Sandy never knew what hit him. One moment, he was keeping the heavily vehicle from overheating as the gunner took aim at the advance line. the next, his body was in pieces around him as the vehicle's other occupants made their escape through the newly made hole in the hull. There was no pain. He'd almost wished there was. It would have kept his mind of his promise, made what felt like an eternity ago as he muttered a silent apology with his dying breath.

Other: Sandy left behind a loving wife and a growing son. While he hopes he'll someday be able to see them again, he's not certain they would recognize him for what he'd become. He still carries around his father's wristwatch - though his wrist is now far too large for it - which was recovered with his body.

It's not so much that she wouldn't be, but then the same would be true of all the participants - except for Met's character. Which is why it isn't really worth mentioning.

All I ask is that you add these to the CS. There's no need to defend yourself against someone who isn't really being aggressive, after all. =P

Bella, the changes are great. Met,He'll have to have learned English - or some other current and relevant language - at some point. It's difficult to be a teacher when the students can't make out a damn thing the teacher's saying. Other than that, it you're good.

I will append an up to date character list to the OP when we're ready to begin the IC.
