So the wildfire grew. Reports the emperor received of the war were... well, one sided. It seemed the freshly trained troops of Terheridons were cutting down any resistance in their paths. He was, to say the least, surprised by their sudden cease fire. It troubled him. There was no reason for them to call the cease fire, aside from fear of intervention via the Kalmalo Republi. It no doubt had to do with the mad Bennipolian king among their midst. A plotting scoundrel. He didn't like this at all. This man was no doubt the cause of the invasion. Walhart wagered the ceasefire was his idea. Probably wanted something left to rule when the Bennipolians inevitably surrendered. It also meant, should he be put on the throne, Terheridon would be awfully friendly with the new regime. Considering Bennipolis' condeming of Valm and their bold claims over the new world came from the crazy greek's time on the throne, allowing Atthenakles to take his country by force wasn't something Valm enjoyed. Their buffer would become another side of the front line. So he began drafting. In light of the current events, the international community would be a buzz with activity. He needed to capitalize on this. This time would be dire if the events of this debacle escalated.
I understand. To expect you to deny a plea from an ally is unfair. I can make no promises about Valm's siding in this conflict should it escalate to encompass more of the globe, but I must agree with your feelings on Atthenakles. I fear for the state of the world should a warmongering madmen like himself be allowed to take the throne by force in Bennipolis. But it brings about the question, if he is to be installed as ruler of his people once more, what shall Aznavor do in retaliation? Would they seek to liberate Bennipolis from his tyrannical rule? In a more pleasant note, a meeting between our heirs is acceptable. I can make arrangements for the meeting to occur on Valm's northern most city. Should anything occur between the allies of our respective countries, I suggest that Valm and Aznavor remain neutral against each other in honor of this possible union between our nations. I hope to hear back soon. Walhart III, Emperor of Valm'
__
'It seems that hoping for a peaceful end to this event is both very close and very far, does it not? In light of Atthenakles, the previously ousted king of Bennipolis leading the forces of Terheridon, we may need to rethink our strategy regarding our reaction. If Atthenakles and the Terheridonians succeed in their invasion, he will no doubt retake his position. This man, whom claimed an entire world and condemned others for the simple act of trade, who brought war upon his own people for his own benefit. A man who the Terheridonians now consider a friend. If he is to be brought into power, it will not only bring Bennipolis back into its overzealous state of political views but will also unite Terheridon against the league. This is unacceptable, as more of Valm's borders shall to left open to a violent regime. Perhaps negotiations with Terheridon can be opened? Promise of lucrative trade between the League and they should they forsake Atthenakles and prevent his rise to power perhaps? I'd like to see it that this man has no right to regain the throne, no matter the cost. Negotiations may be hindered, with Kalmalo's recent assassination attempts, but swift action is imperative. I'd also like your opinion on Kalmalo's actions. Is public damnation a viable and just action in your eyes? Or shall it only add logs to the fire? Walhart III, Emperor of Valm'
Now waiting began. As well as some orders for Valm's military branches... ___ TLDR; In response to recent events, security around the Emperor, his family and council are heightened. Valm's military is mobilized, with large forces station along the western and southern borders. Defensive measures are increased around these borders.
