How did all of this happen so fast?" Another insect crawls out from the collar of my shirt and takes flight, then another buzzes out from my coat pocket. 

My eyes return to Jerus. "And Koraline... What did she say? Did she...AH!" I grit my teeth in pain. The small swarm of insects wreathing my head chirp loudly in my ears like angry wasps.
