it was late it in the afternoon but the light didn't show down in the cater comes. Maria skipped down the steps deeper into the darkness that enveloped her small frame. she giggled menacingly and received a squawk in return from several different ravens that glided in her wake. she skipped down the last few steps scattering the dust in a flurry of her finger tips. 

she walked amunsted the crypts and graves that lined the wall creating shadow reflections of the people that d welled with in them. they flickered and drifted about the room whispering in quiet voices they dissolved back into the blackness as she walked on unable to sustain them self s with out her close proximity to keep them visable. she hummed as she walked, Hugo rested on her shoulder.
her humming grew into la-ring and then in to a song. the voices of the shadows around er joined in in low raspy voices.
