In reality she couldn't care less what Merula did in her spare time, or who her tutors were or what she had done over the summer. She had just been trying to create some small talk to try and avoid a fight all things considering, but it seemed like that wasn't going to happen anytime soon, with Merula more or less rubbing it in Paige's face that she had been tutored by a professional Curse Breaker. That was more or less just a bit of an annoyance, since Merula and Paige did share a dorm room together, so they had to deal with one another all year. At least she could avoid any sort of interactions with Merula for the most part.
