The thickness of a creature's soul was likely tied to physical attributes, like endurance, and strength. Akin to pressurizing a canister, the more robust the containing vessel, the denser it's contents could be without risk of rupturing. Could spirit class undead have no mana cap simply due to their distinct lack of 'container'? It was an interesting thought, but not something he could really explore at the moment. Brightness was most definitely a representation of a creature's magic stats. Likely related to how conductive an individual's meridians were to ambient mana. Mira's soul was large and bright, but was noticeably translucent. This showed that while she had high MP and magic stats, her SP and physical stats were lacking in comparison. Geir however, had a soul that was thick, yet somewhat dim and noticeably smaller than that of Mira. Meaning he high SP and physical stats, but lackluster MP and magical stats. While pondering such revelations might lead to some rather interesting discoveries-- the situation was quickly escalating once again, the fact that there were now TWO potential enemies standing before the group of reincarnators did not bode well. Especially when one of these enemies more than likely had the proper tools to combat ghosts.... Once Jason glimpsed that green source crystal Mira had produced, he knew she'd be able to see him. With how poorly undead were likely viewed in a world such as this, getting spotted would more than likely be kill-on-sight. Not only would she be able to see him-- but also receive insight on his skills and abilities. If just being undead wasn't already bad enough, the two ranks of [Taboo] he possessed would be the final nail in the coffin. But then, an idea reverberated through his mind like the ring a bell. But what if I wasn't necessarily undead? He stared at the soil beneath him as he gauged his probability of success; his mana was around 90% 'full' (if he had to guess), he had the skills [Earth Vein], [Spiritual Awareness II], [Meditiation], [Transparency], [Guidance], and most importantly-- [Possession]. He aimed to replicate the events that had occurred when he'd had his strange dream, and learned of Onogoro. But this time, he would commit to the new body that had begun to take shape. Jason thrust himself into the earth; just as he had in the forest, stirring up soil and dust in his wake. Enveloped in darkness, he entered a focused [Meditiation]; silencing his senses, sinking as deep into the depths of the earth as he could in the few precious moments he could afford. Jason's mana surged within him as he activated [Guidance], "Onogoro, I ask for your wisdom-- that it may guide me. That I may take on the unyielding form of stone!" Jason activated [Earth Vein]; like a final gasp for air, that he could align himself with the mana of the earth as final preparation for the oncoming change.
