I was thinking that Cas would go back to the palace and get in touch with his friends, since they're the only ones who will help him break Iris out of the hospital (as far as he knows). They would work together to come up with a scheme, which would happen during the second or third night that Iris is in the hospital, and take her back to either Jay or Miles' house to hide until they can come up with a long-term solution.

I also want to have Jacob find out about what happened at some point, because I'm getting into his character development a little too. It would put him in a position where he'd have to decide if he's going to tell Atlas what Cas did or keep it a secret and help him harbor Iris as a fugitive.

If you don't have much to do for Iris's POV while she's in the hospital, maybe you could bounce to Ethan (assuming he survived) and cover what the rebels are doing? It would add more tension if they plot another attack on the capital while everything else is going on.
