The Capital had spent a whole week in lockdown at the Kings command at the information of her disappearance. It had been quite a long week for all parties involved because there was a sense of fear that they’d all get caught, that they hadn’t just gotten away with it and they’d all go down for treason. No one truly felt safe and Iris could honestly say that as each day passed, she found herself worrying even more than the last day. It didn’t help that she was still keeping a lot of her emotions bottled up and not seeing Cas was playing on her mind a lot as she was worried that he would think she wasn’t worth the trouble anymore. It was however hard to stay sad or worry when she was around a personality like Miles, he always seemed so upbeat and positive and she felt like she had grown closer to him with the time they had spent together. Though it would have been extremely awkward if they didn’t find some common ground between them especially with being cooped up together for a whole week. No one had found her in his home and she was feeling more comfortable in her surroundings as the time passed, though sleep was something that was still difficult for her as she still feared the nightmares plaguing her and she didn’t want to disturb him as she slept on the sofa. Throughout the week Iris had been battling with her own emotions, fears of being found, fears of Caspian not loving her anymore and it was only the adventure that kept them together. Then she felt guilty for thinking like that because she should have mourned her father, paid some sort of respect for him and not been too focused on if a boy loved her. Those thoughts were soon replaced with the idea that mourning her father was disrespectful because of what he had caused and what he had done to Caspian because it wasn’t right. It was still hard to turn her back on her family like that, even though her father wasn’t all there it felt wrong just ignoring the fact he had tried to raise her. Miles had kept her busy though, when awake they had spent time watching various different films and TV shows. Miles had taught her a few more card games other than snap and when he had taught her she remembered playing the different games before, learning it again had unlocked just a few simple memories and it felt great just learning a little bit more about herself. It was finally the day the lockdown would be lifted, as long as nothing else happened Iris just hoped it meant she could see Cas again as it had been so long not seeing him. It had been quite the emotional rollercoaster and she just wanted to spend some time alone with him and hopefully with the lockdown gone it meant they could work something out. “I bet you can’t wait to finally go out, surely you must be bored of entertaining me now.” Smiling softly as she looked over at Miles before she sat herself on the sofa, today she was wearing the dark red dress in hopes that she’d see Caspian.
